A Vampire control deck that tries to get 3 counters on Bloodchief Ascension quickly and then uses Black Sun's Zenith to wipe the board. Modern Legal Edited 4/7/2012

I don't know if sangromancers ability works, since she dies aswell when you wipe the board. And if you will play this deck just casually, add cabal coffers too it, it is just so good! Other wise, nice! A really clever combo!

I believe you're right, but I wasn't using it for that anyways. Primarily, I use her ability for the Anowons, Gatekeepers, and Bloodhusk Ritualists.
No actually I believe it does work. I read somewhere, possibly the rule book, that when multiple creatures die at the same time from something like BSZ, they all leave the battlefield at the same time. Any leave-the-battlefield / enter-graveyard triggered abilities will trigger for all of those creatures, even if the permanent with the ability is leaving as well. They all leave at the same time, so Sangromancer is still active when they leave; it only checks when the ability is triggered, it doesn't go back to check if Sangromancer is alive when it resolves. So yes you would gain 3 life for every opponent's creature that dies. I've seen that issue come up before when my friend blocked a creature with his Massacre Wurm and they both died - the opponent lost 2 life :)
That is cool, I'll have to look it up, but I believe I've seen what you've said somewhere else before.
I like the idea for your deck. I put a deck together that's similar but I thought it would give you some ideas. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=164396 I put Bloodghast and Kalastria Highborn in so you can make dying Vampires worth counters on Bloodchief Ascension or you can sack Bloodghast to do damage and bring him back with landfall and do it again. That would also be awesome with Blade of the Bloodchief and Bloodthrone Vampire so if you didn't pull what you needed for the combo you would stand a pretty good chance of beating your opponent to death brute force.
It you're playing casually Damnation would be better than Black Sun Zenith also.
Damnation isn't better if you have a Vampire with a Blade of the Bloodchief. As long as you don't kill that Vampire with the Black Sun, it can become huge. Plus, the Black Sun shuffles in (and with so little creature kill in this deck, you need Black Suns to come up as often as possible.) @Smeade - I like your deck also. I don't have any Bloodghasts, but if I did, I probably wouldn't put them in my deck. I need the early life gain that the Child of Nights provide me to fuel my Dark Tutelages. Plus, it's another lifelink creature I can attach Bonehoards or the Blades to. I do like the Highborns, but another creature I don't have any of. I'm a huge fan of Bloodthrone Vampires. I have them in several other decks.

Will you please tell me what your favorite card is? http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=164531
I dropped Anowons for 2 more swamps. It's helped a lot and the Anowons weren't helping much anyways.
I think it would be easier to get the counters on the ascension by using ornithopter, with virulent swipe. Bloodhusk ritualist isn't needed and is inneficient. Overal awesomeness though
Bloodhusk Ritualist has won me a bunch of games. Once I get the Bloodchief Ascension to 3 counters, BR can be dropped with a big multikick, knocking out their hand, dealing damage to my opponent and gaining life on top of that. I can't see anything inefficient about that. Like the idea of Ornithopter and Virulent Swipe, but since this is a Vampire deck, it wouldn't fit.
Sideboard added.
Edited to make quicker and mark it as a modern deck.
Edited once again.
