!!!!!The passing of Terry Pratchett has put me in quite a somber, dark mood. A mood that, oddly enough, is very conductive to building Extraction decks. This, is my latest idea for Iso-Pox...A variation of Extraction that for a long time has begged the question, "why the hell does this not have Deathrite Shaman?"
It takes a bit of an insane mind =]

>~> Pratchett died? That's probably the second worst news I've had at breakfast. You know, I feel like it's the same as in PAL; Deathrite was so obvious that it was overlooked.

Yeah, sorry to bum you out like that...Absolutely. I also think because somehow our brains' labeling of Deathrite as being black and GREEN caused it to be overlooked for Iso-Pox. Aside from the sideboard, Iso-Pox doesn't run green.I am blown away by how useful it is though. Mostly in the mana ramping to be honest...It provides so much wiggle-room. Iso-Pox used to run 25 lands, now it can very comfortably run 20. That means I get a nice and sexy two card slots to work with, which in a tightly packed deck is huge. I used those two slots to run a much more intensive Pox package with a 2/3 big-little split and I am beyond happy with it.
Well, it's not you, it's that the fantasy genre just lost one of it's best writers. That's probably quite a contributing factor, I just... WHY HAVEN'T I BEEN RUNNING THEM?!I can bet, I think you were the only one still running 25 though, I've been comfortably running 21 for going on two years. Though we have always been quite different on what we like in a landbase, so perhaps that's just my innate desire for a reckless efficiency. I love the 2/3 split, outside of traditional Pox styles, it is probably the most effective it seems.I had just found something non-Pox related to tinker with, guess that's backburnered for now thanks to you :P
So I doodled up a list with Deathrite as well, good grief, it feels like I'm not playing a deck, but rather I'm slapping them in the face repeatedly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ld3imEfpZUThat's what I pictured hahaha.
Can't say much about the deck, but Terry Pratchett dead? That just sucks. :'C
Hey dude, long time no see. Yeah sorry for the bad news.
Ya, been lurking a lot, but apparently I've not been commenting on the good decks. Just wish I had the finances to play Legacy, so that I could get first hand experience to comment constructively on these decks :/As JensDagon probably already knows through our chats, I don't read much outside of my comfort zone (light novels and manga), but I have seen a few of the films (or was it a miniseries?) based on Pratchett's works.
I want to say that was a miniseries.
If it's what I'm thinking of then it's a miniseries. In other news, I really want to make at least one EDH deck using one of the new generals from the Khans block, but I've been so bored by Khans that I'm not even that familiar with the new legends. It's been a while since I've built a new EDH though...Any suggestions?
Sidsi, Brood Tyrant; Tasigur, the Golden Fang; or Zurgo Bellstriker. Sidsi can potentially do all sorts of nasty shenanigans, Tasigur too, but Zurgo just seems like he'd be fun even though Dash is affected by the cast tax. I just think he'd be funny. I've been trying to decide which I want to make too. :|
Alesha, Who Smiles at Death is also pretty cool.I'm also lurking quite a bit.
Yeah I'm still trying to figure out who would be fun to use. She's a top contender though.Lurking or not it's good to see ya buddy =]
Well I decided on Alesha, but it might take a damn long time before it's uploaded. Been busy as hell =/
Nice, I'm excited for this. It's good to be busy man.
sidisi is tough to pull off in edh ive been trying anafenza, its is ok, atarka, worldrender is pretty fun but how can you not have fun dropping dragons? lol im really trying to get more into control/ extraction my new 5 color control list for modern if you could lookhttp://www.mtgvault.com/vaan104/decks/5-color-control/
I love edh and you havnt posted anything new in awhile. I built my sidisi deck and it sucks. I built atarka and it seems good. I did an infect edh that is just to mean to play lol. I also did a shadowborn apostles edh with athreos im liking it so far. right now im trying to figure out how to build an edh off of Gisela, blade of goldnight.
I know I haven't posted anything in a long time. I have been working on this Alesha list, but I'm still not happy enough with it to post it yet. I have another deck that I might post up if I have the time though. It's not EDH, but it's a good deck.I really have been way too busy lately, and I think soon things will slow down. This time around it's not just my job though. I've met a beautiful girl...and she's been keeping me quite busy =]
That's great man. Seems we've all been busy lately. So busy I didn't notice this til now :)
