Deck Description

This is my rapid mill deck. I'm not too big on milling...It's never been my "thing", so to speak, but I think this should do quite well despite that.

It's a solid mill, but I warn you of using stuff like the polluted delta in legacy, it's bad juju.
The presence of Mind Funeral and Extirpate in an opposing mill means nothing can save you, not even ol' Gaea.
Should they not be running Extirpate, they will probably be bent over by the health inspector from Tom's nightmare in the Boondocks.

Well that's what I have the Duress in the sideboard for. Just pull out their Extirpate, and go to town making them dump cards into their 'yards.

I'm surprised there is no twincast, which seems to be the bread and butter of most mill decks. Although I do understand that mill isn't your thing.

bet you'll be excited when you see the new extraction card they are printing in New Phyrexia. I wish I could show you. Oh wait, I can.

the card is called surgical extraction

Surgical Extraction. Awesome name, ridiculous artwork (seriously that art is sick), and a sort of Extirpate on crack. Turn 1 Thoughtseize --> Surgical Extraction would destroy any combo deck.

Perhaps drowner initiate and/or memory sluice?

0

maybe surgical extraction? incase they have any eldrazis, instant speed hit it when it enters, so they dont get a shuffle effect.

geezuz, Jace's Erasure AND Memory Erosion....that's just cruel.
Surgical extraction would make this crazy, and I always love using Circu, they just work so well together.
The only thing I would recommend would be maybe add some lands that cause you to return other lands you control back to your hand, just for some extra fun with the hedron crabs. Other than that nice job!

I know it doesn't do anything on its own

but Fog bank has won me more games with my mill deck than I can count

If you find you're getting ruined by creatures before you can get the mill fully through, might be worth a shot

This is what mine mostly looks like

I don't have the deltas or the wallet sculptor irl but it still works pretty good

I've been looking at all your decks and my heart jumpped when i saw you had a mill deck!

Your deck has provided some cards i had never heard of and i'm now using in my mill deck. Could you please give me some tips and tricks on my mill?

I hate people who spam another person's deck, but i don't know any other means on contacting you :(

I am not entirely sure of the specifics of it, but there's an infinite mill combo using Jace's Erasure and Sensei's Divining top that you may want to figure out and try out with this deck.

Yeah, I know how to do it, but it's freakin' convoluted as hell...It's like...7-8 cards to do the damn thing. It's funny though =/

Very nice man looks great love mill decks I like alternative win cons lol I also like your living weapon deck I built one awhile ago mono black and standard legal still need tO update it with m12 but anyway maybe raven guild master if you can find room he exiles the cards so I figure he wOuld tickle your fancy lol being an extractor and all but I just built a new t2 mill please check it out I'm deathtyrants older bro and here's the link http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=210888 o and someone said to build goat tribal I did that awhile back when lorywn was standard does really great it's alot of fun but check out that deck guys ok thanks again

This deck looks particularly vicious, although it would be boring to play against. You wouldn't be able to do anything after turn 2.

Dude, I made this deck so long ago...so it's pretty funny to me that out of nowhere you guys pushed it to the top. I seriously saw it and just laughed...I was like, "wtf? really? that deck? uhm...thanks?"

I should probably look it over and see if I can improve on it =P

If the opponent has an eldrazzi lord in the dek then? Like Emrakul! I would put in an surgical extraction in the sideboard just so you could win with the mill concept against eldrazi decks to!

Maralen is nice for forcing an archive trap. I've also been of the opinion for awhile that any mill deck's lethality is exponentially increased with a bloodchief ascension in there. Quest countered bloodchief + Glimpse = mill 10 cards, you lose 20 life, I gain 20 life. Super-funsies.

There's some interesting mill strategies emerging with NPH and M12. I'd love to build one around Jace's Archivist, that guy is sick! Counter a spell with Perplex, then activate Archivist to make sure they have a full hand to discard, meanwhile they mill a few cards from Jace's Erasure.

Also, this deck makes me sad :( I still can't find my Circu.. which doesn't really bother me in and of itself, but that deck had all four of my Mundungu in it and I want to run them in another deck.

I've been a Mill fan since Millstone came out, (too bad its been so weak as of late)

I think Arcaine Denial would be an upgrade over counterspell

Trade secrets would be an upgrade over Memory Erosion

Both those cards not only help your drawing but also thin your opponents library (but really its all about personal preference and that is just mine)... I do like this deck quite a bit

i would throw some twin casts in there when ever i play my mill deck a twin cast on a mind funeral or a archive trap is devastating good deck also try to get the new jace he is amazing for a mill deck i havent gotten one good luck and good deck check out mine if u want thanks

Very Nice, I like the blue/black. It's probably smarter than my mono blue, I think my deck is a bit more annoying to play against though lol.

cool deck :)

sorry this question has nothing to do with this deck, but if i have some thallids going including deathspore, go to sack some saprolings to make one of the opponents guys -3/-3 (enough to kill it), can the opponent, in response, unsummon the deathspore to cancel out the -3/-3? or does the minus go on the stack and simply resolve after the deathspore has returned to my hand?

nice deck you got here, made one like it. But mine is made sorta today right before I saw this lol.
anyways I decided mono blue so I could go sanity grinding and brain freeze. and since you are making them mill a whole lot, why not add in "visions of beyond" with all the cards hittin the yard you will more than likely get to draw 3. memory sluice is awesome. think turn 1, island -> crab, 2. crab -> fetch land then sluice. thats 20 cards right there turn 2.
so my 2 cents,
visions, sluice, and of course my new favorite creature, phantasmal image.
