Deck discussion for Obey!

I love it. +1 (actually +2) again sir! I might just try something like this out. Seems pretty awesome and I was definitely not expecting to see a tribal like this...well ever. Awesome job :D Love the graveyard play and the Evening Star surprises :P

I'm a big fan of your decks. They flow like water.

so why all the mana ramp, i see how the deck works but it would work fine without the ramp too wouldn't it? or am i missing something?

For the deck to really flow as fast as I want it to, I need a pretty hefty payout of mana.

ok, so then with all that ramping, you can play more spells but without a draw rate increase you will be topdecking in no time. i tend to lose when i topdeck with this kind of deck

hello mate !, cheers for the welcomes back !, im still grafting away got a few ideas to get down, ive replied to your comments on my (the rage deck0 so if you can check it out again any further advice is welcomed !

i just had to check your new stuff !, i really like this one other people are right to point out that this deck has some great overpowered cards (lol as if you can have such a thing, but you get my point ! ) song of the damned and mortality shift ! very very nice , a freind of mine plays a kokushu deck and its awsome it just tutors him and bounces him back and forth from play ! and it very effective, cant help but think of reacurring nightmare but i guess its not legal eh ! ?, i can see the reason for the mana ramp as you need often to cast something and then trigger it to bounce the nastys back and forth, not much to recommend as it looks good just to give approval really !, entomb ? again prob not legal ??,

havnt figured how this deck defends as of yet, i see it flows and i dare say just kills first but does it suffer from a lack of removal ? although i can see you can always lay down chompers and have little worrys about thing going to your graveyard !

top bombing all round i'd say well done

Thanks dude. The deck is defensive in a way, but yeah, it's mostly just aggressive. I don't plan to win any tourneys with this, but any tribal deck is a blast to play. =]

Just read what Balthor the Defiled does and when thinking of putting all 4 Kokusho's into the grave before using Balthor's ability I almost died I laughed so hard. I've not thought of making a grave based Kokusho Nuke before, now I feel the need to design one :p

Oh yeah, it's very funny, and if for some odd reason someone survives it, the "nuke" reloads itself!

Sweet deck, I notice you take on rather challenging brews. Have you considered a Melira persistance deck? Melira's ability will stop -1/-1 counters from being placed on your creatures with persist, so they will keep recurring from the yard with a sac outlet.

Awesome deck, I love reading through your deck lists and figuring out all the tricks as i go along.

This is a VERY VERY VERY nice deck. The only problem I see is that you might have too many legendary creatures in there. This could hinder your ability to play creatures effectively. If I had to cut a few out, I'd cut out maybe one Balthor, the defiled and two Kokusho, the evening star, but that's just a suggestion. Otherwise, awesome deck!

Actually the point in this deck is to have all 4 Kokushos. I have a combo that puts them all into play at once, which makes them all die to the Legend Rule, which triggers each of their abilities. BOOM!

truly a masterfully done deck. i cant add anymore suggestions to this, it's as wicked as a tribal deck goes. :))

i just have to say sleeper agent is irritating :))

I'll check it out dude. To be clear, I don't mind when people ask for advice on their decks. What bugs me is when someone clearly took no effort or care to even look at the deck beyond seeing it was a deck with a lot of comments.

I don't know if this would help or not i thought it would go well in combo with Buried Alive but adding Ashen Ghoul. Also Darkblast is another card i think you could check out. But i love the Minions man!! If you have any free time i would appreciate it if u could check out my unblockable deck, it needs a little work but i think it is almost done.

Don't know which combo is more fascinating.

the Balthor the Defiled + Kokusho, the Evening Star
or
the Morality Shift and Songs of the Damned

Combining them the two with lots of nice support cards is nice thinking outside the box.

Well Done.

If you are willing to put in dual lands for blue you can significantly improve your dredge power with
Glimpse the Unthinkable and Hedron Crab.

Morality Shift would be intense with any Yawgmoth's Will style card, especially with all of those rituals like Songs of the Damned.
