A Rosheen EDH loaded up with "X" spells and abilities and various ramp strategies to dump even more mana into them. It's a simple, but surprisingly effective layout.

Helix Pinnacle, because Hydra's just weren't enough treachery.

I couldn't NOT put it in though...The card just below it, Mana Bloom, has turned out to be AMAZING for the deck. I can see it doing well in any multicolored green EDH honestly, but in here it just shines. My favorite Hydra in here is Savageborn. I had a game where that thing came out as an 8/8 on turn five!
I think what would infuriate me the most about this if I were to play anything like it is Orisch Settlers... Just casually blow up my lands, no big deal.
I just had to add them. They're one of the trolliest cards in the game and they happen to work beautifully with the deck. The artwork, the flavor, the ability...all of it. They seem so innocent until you realize that with just Rosheen alone you can blow up any two lands. Best I've managed thus far is to pop a Mana Bloom (and a few eldrazi spawn) to nuke 7 lands in one go.http://www.myfacewhen.net/view/1382-you-seem---upset
http://www.myfacewhen.net/view/6463-oh-dear-godThat's... I... Yeah, I'd focus this first just because of that potentially happening.
I said it before and I'll say it again, Mana Bloom has blown me away. It lets me put mana in reserve for whenever I need it, and allows for things like that to work. Also, I did that in a game with my buddy running his Ashling the Pilgrim, Wumps running his Budoka Gardener/Dokai, and Arty running his Horobi...So I wouldn't necessarily say I was the biggest threat =P
I don't get what's so fascinating about Mana Bloom actually. I've given away maybe three... It's just reusable color fixing, and a very minute amount of ramp since it's only one mana per turn. The only really nice thing about it to me is the recursive nature of the thing.Hmmm, that is a tough call. I'd still pick you though, regardless of which design I'm playing, because Orcish Settlers would be able to ruin literally any of them. I think five color combo would be the only thing that would be able to change that honestly.I super hate having my land base blown up(when it's not by my intent), have I mentioned this?
I just realized I wasn't reading the "only once a turn" clause ._.Ich bin dum...
And yeah, people go a little crazy about their lands hahaha.
Yeaaaaah, I can suddenly understand why you loved it.Now, this may not be the original intention of this, but I think it fits quite nicely with this;http://i.imgur.com/ZQGBNR3.gifIn EDH especially. In Legacy you /know/ somebody is going to Wasteland you, but in EDH it's just "And now you do nothing for five turns!"
Yeah, here I was thinking I was using a WAAAAAAAAAY better card than it actually is. It's still decent for EDH and mana fixing, but it's not the storage unit that I thought it was. It'd be pretty neat if they made a card like that =/It's worth mentioning that Arty's Horobi list also destroys lands...by making them creatures. That deck kills all the things.
I want to say the closest thing to that is Omnath, the giant bag of holding that it is.I hadn't thought of that... That's the kind of thing that makes me want to play Meddling Mage on Horobi.
Yeah, that's why I have Omnath in here, but that's just for green mana. Hrmm...I'm gonna have to do some research =/EDIT: Research complete. Going for Gemstone Array. Can't use Rosheen for it directly, but it still lets me store all that mana I'll be making.
I didn't even realize Omanth was in here. I was too distracted by the devil that is Orcish Settlers.Gemstone Array isn't bad for EDH, but I'd probably prefer seeing a cheaper alternative, even if it only came out as one color, or even colorless.
I checked and there really isn't anything better =/
Well poo. Well, like I said; I don't think Gemstone Array is bad for EDH, but I do think it would be nice for something better to exist.
I know right? Would what I THOUGHT Mana Bloom did really be too powerful? I honestly don't think so.
Well kind of, for all of the non-eternal formats.
Im not tooo big into EDH, but i really like this. I think like you said, savageborn hydra by far is one of the beasts of the deck.Tempt with veng, has to be one of the funniest cards imo. it puts the opponent in such an awkward situation.. love it +1 :)Ive been working on a build that features norin the wary, (modern build) and i would love your input if you had the time... i cant afford shock/fetch lands at the moment but let me know what you think:) thanks alothttp://www.mtgvault.com/soldier333/decks/norin-and-his-shennaningans/
While genesis wave looks pretty sweet here, most of your targets are artifacts and hydras with zero power/toughness
Well crap you're right. I probably would have eventually learned this the hard way (haven't had a game yet where I've drawn Gen Wave), but it's nice to get this kinda heads up =]Now what to replace it with...
Earthquake?
In addition to the Candelabra and Friends, how about 'Kaervek's Torch'? A nice X-burn spell, which costs 2CMC more for your opp's to affect?
Nah, I already found a replacement for Gen Wave, and I don't think I need any more Fireball-esque spells.
I don't get thornbite staff. Why is it good?
"Whenever a creature dies, untap the equipped creature."It lets me untap Rosheen after I kill something with a burn spell.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
