The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

work in progress, most likely going to change over time...thus the lazy land base.

This is pretty damn close to where I was going with my Heartless Summoning design. HS with Glissa and Perilous Myr is pure abuse! Mine, I think, will also splash white for SB tech and Sun Titan to recur some of those cheap beaters, even more abuse with Perilous Myr, and GQ hate. I also want to test out Gavony Township, which may lead me to running a single Primeval. Even if he dies to dismember, the CA he gives you from eating a removal spell and providing 2 GQ is damn good. Before I get to that, however, I'm going to work on a casual Countertop build. I may be able to trade my Vindicates for the shell of the deck, and work on it over time to become more competitive. All depends on the trade, though. Imo, I don't think you should run more Superion than you are HS. It completely ruins your temp if you don't draw into a HS.

Actually, scratch that about the Countertop deck, my mind is too ripe with ideas to build this one now :P Take a look at the end of my profile, I'll have mine listed in a little bit.
Yeah I really want to add in some white to this, as not only is Sun Titan great, but so is Tempered Steel...Eh, standard just drives me crazy =[ Probably gonna throw together the Filth deck I want to make =]
OMG! For just a moment I forgot Glissa said "opponent controls" and was thinking this could be like the new Splinter Twin! Haha. Almost thought you'd completely broken the format for a moment. Regardless, it still seems pretty sick and almost an auto win against many aggro decks - a one sided wrath at the least.:) Looks like a good experimental list and a great start, though. I think Savage is right about the Superions though. Especially when you don't even have any other way to power them out.
I just picked up 3x Heartless Summoning for a considerable discount :) Woot! Problem I have with Tempered Steel is that it disrupts your shock-myr combo. IMO, seems best to either run affinity with white, or abuse Glissa with filth.
HAHAHA Edna, that'd be crazy. Even so, the little combo acts as a free pyroclasm with an added shock, and that's pretty nuts. Yeah Savage has a good point with the Superions, so I'll prolly make some changes. And Cabbage, I think you're also right about either Tempered affinity or Filth...and I'm honestly unsure which I'm leaning towards....
Tempered Affinity obviously has more general testing and may be the "better" deck from a viewpoint that it's been well tuned and just kinda builds itself to some degree. Filth certainly seems like a much more fun deck, however, and has the great surprise aspect at this point! And I'm not saying it can't be as good or better, just that at this point it's obviously less refined and practiced.
Yeah, I'm really unsure which way to go with the whole thing. My head is spinning with ideas, because I KNOW that HS will be abused in something stupidly fast, I just haven't gotten it right yet =/ I hope it ends up as Filth, because it's an old favorite of mine...but I have a feeling, at least for Legacy, it will be Affinity =/
Hmm. That's an interesting idea. It could maybe work in Affinity, although it does seem as though it might actually slow them down too much. I mean, the deck already can kill on turn 4 most of the time and half their deck is like free anyway. :/ Plus, Arcbound Ravager dies as a state-based effect and can't even try to get pumped before it dies. It could work, but I'm not quite sure how it would work. My best guess is it'll be best in some 2-3 card combination that just flat out wins on the spot, though I haven't figured out what those are yet. Maybe Enduring Renewal + Perilous Myr or something similar! This is legal in Modern, too, btw. =/
Edna: Enduring Renewal + Perilous myr + HS is a great combo. could be faster then turn 4 with some mana ramp. :) hope you guys have a great day.
Ha, thanks man! No one ever comments like that on here ("have a great day"). Pretty much just made my day right there! :) You have a great day, too! Yeah, I'm almost tempted/inspired now to make a HS combo with Enduring Renewal for Modern. Could go in a nice shell with something like Silence+Scepter but maybe that's just too mean? haha
@ Surewhynot: Hey man, I really like this idea. You seem to have alot of solid decks on here so i'd love your feedback on the mono-black im working on for m13 standard. here's the link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=362155
"thus the lazy land base" ? This deck actually looks 'simple yet effective', so the land base doesn't look too bad too me :p
I'm a little concerned about Myr Superion. I know Heartless Summoning essentially makes it 'free', but the Superion's 'only mana from creatures' ability worries me. Will the rules allow for him to be cast for 'free'?
Yes. If he has no mana cost, he is free to cast; ergo, you do not need to spend any mana, let alone mana generated by creatures, to cast him.
Might consider this - lose the myr's and put in Gutter Grime. GG for the win.
Any thoughts on a White/Black control/extraction? With nevermore and the other white spell that removes a nonland card and blocks the rest of them from being cast? 4xmemoricide 4xsurgical ex. 4xpraetors grasp 4xnevermore 4xwhite meddling mage type card :) Might be mean with other cards for support, no blue for card draw though....
The deck I saw with heartless summoning was a reanimator deck, (It had that as an option due to the amount of kills and counters played in our meta). He was a little slow using simple prevention from white to live until he could throw titans and praetors at the other player. Elesh Norn is nasty on turn 5... much less a grave titan on turn 4. O.o

hey, dood! where is your wither deck? i'm trying to plug my poem!
oimygod. i moved this to top!! lololololol
I don't think this deck really has enough milling power to run Boneyard Wurm and Wreath of Geists. Splinterfright is fine because it acts as an engine for Perilous Myr but I don't think he does enough on his own to justify Boneyard Wurm and Wreath of Geists. Instead you could maybe throw in a Massacre Wum or two to stop those damned Delver decks.
haha oh man, I forgot about this deck. I designed this as a concept deck...basically putting some kind of tangible form to some ideas I had. This deck doesn't even "exist" anymore =P But yeah, when I designed this thing, I came to the same conclusion, boneyard will often end up as a dead card for a while, and there needed to be more ways to fuel the graveyard. If you look at some of my later renditions of Filth, such as my deck "Pizza", you'll see I fixed the problems =]
why not reassembling skeleton comes out dies and you can restart the combo with it
nice deck please give suggestions for mine http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=362008
This looks like an amazing deck!!! If anything I would add a Noxious Revival to it get your wurmcoils back for more fun. If you could look at my deck i would really appriciate it. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=360976
