Deck discussion for I wanna Jitte RBUG...

Why use dark confident instead of phyrexian arena? I'd rather lose 1 life than a chance of 4, or even 2.

The mana curve data is incorrect for some reason. The only card that costs 3 mana (the highest cost) is Dismember. The majority of the deck is 1 and 2 mana...it's built to control aggressively, which is the second reason for using Bob instead. I can attack with them and they're 1 mana faster.

Interesting... Not sure I'm a fan of the lone Tab without any way to find it though. SpellStutter also seems a bit weird... it's a 2 mana misstep?

I was sort of thinking the same thing about the Tabernacle...Might just take it out for a fourth blossom. Any ideas?

Spellstutter is great because it can hold down any threat as the game goes on thanks to Bitterblossom, and it serves nicely as an additional evasive attacker, which adds up to be honest.

This is cool. I think tabernacle should be replaced with another bitterblossom like you suggested.

I think you could have 2 essence wardens too, although not sure what you'd take out. Maybe sideboard them. They always seem soak up a lightning bolt or doom blade or whatever at worst and at best negate some decks for turns. Sick deck anyway :)

also BUG control is retarded. Extraction, counterspells, card advantage, a bit of mana accel and a goyf. Freaking retarded.

Hahaha, I've seen this deck before, and now I finally got the "picking apart someone's BUG" in the description...You really thought of a deck mid game? Hahaha.

Picking apart people's decks is how I get most of my inspirations lol. Seeing how a deck falls apart gives me ideas for how to put a deck together =]

Yeah, I thought you meant you were helping them pick it apart.

So instead of playing Magic, you reverse engineer decks? I'd like you to reverse engineer some of my decks :p

Hahaha, no by "picking apart" I mean during games where I play Extraction =]

You misunderstood me, I fully understand that you meant extraction, I was just playing along with the round about way of saying it :p

It looks like a nice deck, but I would play more fetchlands in a 4 color deck in legacy. I would also make room for 4 brainstorms.
But any deck with goyf, Bob, bitterblossom and thoughtseize is proberly a good deck.
Just my opinion.

Good news for deck builders -- if you cut the Alpha lands from this, it'll only cost ~ $900 + Lands to build! *cough*

Also, hate to break it to you, Misstep is banned (as of Oct 1)

Ayup. A lot of people feel that way ;) Doesn't bother me none, I've still yet to play Legacy..

I should clairify...I'm happy about the ban in some ways (i.e., makes it a lot easier to play Extraction, gives Reanimator a freakin chance again, etc.) but overall I think it's a pretty asinine ban...as I explain below =]

better to play 4 Bob and 3 Blossom

MM is banned, yay, lets all loose to tendrils on turn 2 again. The entire ban process is a joke. They should have unbanned MM in modern rather then banning it in Legacy. It would fixed all of their concerns.

What I don't get is why is MM more ban-worthy than FoW? The two do similar things...If they truly want to contain Storm, which they claim (I don't buy it), then why ban the card that has been greatly helping other players hold it back...yet let them keep one of their best defenses while storming away?

maybe it's me, but I think they should unban MM, and ban LED. LED is what primarily fuels multiple "problem decks" in Legacy =/

Taking out LED would mostly hit Storm variants, and it would remove the feeling that your opponent is playing Black Lotus and Demonic Tutor every game on turn two :|

I think if they do that I'll just move onto working with High Tide with Candelabra of Tawnos for spell based combos, as it's the next best thing if you remove LED from the equation.

Also, as a blue player I'm shocked that I'm happy about the Misstep ban.

Exactly, it's removal would be very beneficial to the format IMHO. Combo players would still have options, but they wouldn't have the (arguably) over-dominant options they have now. It should be restricted at the very least, as restricting it would probably give similar results...

Besides, it's been a long time since I've gotten to pick through a High Tide =P

It's obnoxious to play, I have never had to do so much math for a simple game of magic as when I played High Tide+Candelabra... I legitimately used over ten thousand mana in one turn once, simply because I felt like seeing how much I could produce.

Haha, I'd sometimes blurt out random numbers when someone would play High Tide...it'd piss people off so much XD

They shoud definatly reprint these land so I don't have to pay a butt-load for them. Lol. I mean 70 bucks for a bad ass tree covered mountain. Is still a little excessive.

If they ever reprint them in From The Vaults, you'd better bet I'm buying four boxes. I already missed out on getting Berserk and Mox Diamond :( Now those boxes sell for $90 ea!
