Deck Description

Horde-based Stompy sub-type. My last Stompy for like...a year now. I'm done, seriously (raggedjoe...don't say it -_-).

This was a much harder Stompy sub-type than I thought it would be. How do you take token spewing/horde and make it Stompy? Well, you do it carefully. Overall, I'm pleased with the result of the deck. Nothing beats kicking someone's ass with a swarm of trampling flowers =]

My other Stompy decks:

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=118142 <---Old(er)-school Stompy with more emphasis on pumps.

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=122687 <---Stompy that abuses math tricks based on the number 3.

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=122864 <---Stompy with Vengevine in it. That Vengevine just keeps coming.

ive always expected to see more nest invaders (best named mtg card ever for the inuendo) in more stompy decks 2 for a 2/2 and another threat (ok he needs boosting) all that doubles as a man gen ! thats great value and very stompy in my eyes, i think your stompy eldrazi expedition cemented his place lol.

Yeah, they're the first thing I looked at when making my Eldrazi Stomp, since the second I saw them I thought, "Alright...we can make this work" =]

And to address NightAngel, yeah...this will be my last for a very long time...probably a year or more. Currently I'm working on a Suicide Black/Tempo/Sacrifce deck (Which I will call Memento Mori). It's a difficult jig-saw puzzle that I still haven't fully figured out yet...

Hey thanks. I'm going to see what Mirrodin Besieged has to offer and then might make a tourney deck. So you may see a tournament deck from me after all. =]

Glad you like it man. Hey, how come I haven't seen any Stompy decks from you since your one you built for my challenge? You had a knack for it.

mate ive put together a blue deck called vise vise baby, its not my usual sort of deck but i have a feeling its right up your street (not the stompy street the other one lol) could you take a look please.

i echo raggedjoe i dont play tourniments myself but your more into the scene than me i think i just play casual with mates, but if your not competing your wasted man you do have some great decks.

Hmmm...I didn't think about that. I don't think I would use him to put in tokens, as he only puts in one at a time. However, he could be nice for abusing Oran-Rief.

I'll try him out in a few games and let you know how it goes! =]

dont mean to be deperate, but i too have skill and i do make tourney decks. but enough about me, i was expecting to see eldrazi monument or something like that to boost all tokens, not that there is anything wrong with beast master ascension. i have made a ramp deck that utilizes similar tactics. i think its a very nice stompy.

Sorry its been forever since I've been on :D The reason I don't make a lot of Stompy is they generally arent competetive :P I do have a new deck in the works I hope to get up soon.

Hey welcome back. I look forward to your new deck. Oh, and Fluff, I tried out the Garruk and his ability doesn't boost them as much as the +X/+X from Overwhelming Stampede can, so I probably won't put him in.

Y'know, I'd usually disagree with that...but for this, I could see it working very well. Thanks. =]

So i noticed while i was cruising through your seemingly endless supply of stompy decks that your later ones drop the Diligent Farmhand / Muscle Burst combo. Any reason? Cause in thinking about running a full set of each and since your kinda an expert on stompy im wondering what you think of it.

Well those cards are more fitting to an old-school style and/or a "pump" style. Most of these other ones are less geared towards pump and focus more on other kinds of themes and styles. Don't get me wrong though, those cards do work wonderfully.

Cool cause i seriously might have cried if you said that combo sucked... xD. Something about it just calls to me. I think there will be some wild mongrel action in there too.
