rings of brighthearth and ashnod's altar. I personally also like pentavus but most people dont.

I don't use svoghoth because I try to keep the game too short for that card to get too big. I actual tested jolrael, empress of beasts for a while in this deck. It worked fine until a wrath of god took out everything. If jolrael's effect lasted for only a turn, I probably would have kept it in here. I like leaving some lands vulnerable but asking for all of them to be is a bit too risky for me.
Well, it seems like you need a bit more mana ramp because there is pretty much none. Plus a lot of the stuff in here is higher cost so it would help a lot. You might also want to take out the creatures llke wormfang drake and creatures that base themselves off other artifact creatures. I would also try limiting how many sacrificing artifacts there are. I know what you are trying to do with them but most of the artifacts that would be sacrificed wouldn't be worth sphinx bringing back. Sorry I couldn't suggest more specific things.
Oh, and Crucible of worlds help to bring back any land that may die.
BoP - usually there are bigger threats in EDH than a little bird. woodwraith usually works really well when i activate something like pernicious deed cuz then i'm the only person with creatures left (usually) and can score me some damage before they get killed, which isn't too big of a deal because of the land fetches and life from the loam. tomb goes along with what I said about woodwraith with the land dying. Plus, it's a good last resort card if i have a ton of land. I didn't put cabal coffers in here because of how much the land can die and for some reason, whenever i run both urborg and cabal coffers, i never draw both. Thanks for the comment!
mountains are blockable... they can die... besides, i already said, i'm not putting any planeswalkers in here. Even a doomblade could kill one of my mountains, and then i dont just lose a 4/4 creature, i lose a land. not worth it. As for ancient grudge, its flashback is extremely helpful so in my opinion, it's the most efficient and reusable red artifact destruction.
Ancient grudge in the sideboard. The rootbounds don't mess up the mana cuz i never draw only a rootbound as a land and the flashback helps a ton for ancient grudge.
Never mind, i can see why you don't like standard. I just played on MWS for a while and everybody runs the saaame decks. It's soo lame.
I really like this deck cuz it's original and fast. I've never tried playing red before and this inspired me to try out a red deck. Don't worry, i'm not one of those ppl who copies the deck idea (like i've seen half a dozen ppl do with this deck). Just check it out and comment if you get a chance! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=268178
I would use lightning bolt in place of it but it's not standard anymore (which is kinda lame). I just use it to ping weak creatures before they get big cuz it feels like a lot of the new cards have toughness 2 or 1 and boost up like champion of the parish or stromkirk noble. Why don't you like standard (at the moment)? I would put a slagstorm but it feels like it would kill my creatures more than theirs...
Thanks for the tips! I feel like putting koth in here would slow it down a bit because his effects don't benefit me much. I think if I was going to put a planeswalker in here, it would probably be chandra. The only reason I didn't put it in is cuz i'm trying to keep things under cost 3 so that it's consistent. I'll try out the blast and arc trail idea though. :)
hahahaha gotta love the frogs. You've been makin a ton of tribal decks recently. What is this, number 4 or 5 in a row? I'm not gonna complain though cuz ur tribes r more original than most. Mind checkin out my first standard deck on here? http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=268178
Hahaha i'm supposed to make people enjoy the game, not hate it because of that creature. I'm just trying to keep things fair and fun. Normally I don't play counterspells cuz they aren't fun but i keep them handy in case a mean card is played. I usually save mana for a counterspell then at the end of the turn before mine, i use the leftover mana to use phelddagrif's ability to help those who need it. :)
If nothing else, i would make this deck purely for the amazing artwork. So awesome. Especially the Putrid Leech picture. Check out the Group Hug EDH deck I just made since you didn't seem to have the time to make a phelddagrif edh :P http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=265229
The only thing i question is the value of choosing azusa over omnath for a commander. This deck doesn't have a whole lot of drawing so the 2 additional lands each turn don't benefit as much as accumulating mana would. Check out my EDH deck if you get a chance. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=265229
Wow, that is an awesome idea for a little price. I would say you need some destroy creature spells but you really don't with that deck... the creatures that don't die kinda cover that... not sure what to say lol. I find it funny that you have 66 creatures though. That's pretty insane. Check out my EDH if you get a chance. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewPrices.aspx?DeckID=265229
This is one of the cheapest EDH decks i've ever seen haha. Honestly, I would just change the commander because in EDH, 1 damage is nothing. Not sure what else to tell you. Check out my EDH deck if you get a chance. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewPrices.aspx?DeckID=265229
You took a much different approach on Uril than i've seen. I'm used to seeing smaller creatures and then uril being the only sweeper. This has more of the approach of: Step 1-4: Attain Mana. Step 5. CHARGE!!!! I'm not sure how well it would do in a one vs one but for multiplayer, it looks like it would work well. Take a look at my EDH if you get a chance. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewPrices.aspx?DeckID=265229
I put in eternal dragon cuz it is a free plains every turn with plaincycling since i can bring it back from the graveyard. Voice of all is really good against monocolor decks and can block huge creatures. I was thinking about taking out chancellor of the annex since it doesn't play a very big role. And I completely forgot about emeria, the sky ruin. Thanks!
I beg to differ. http://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=205082 "Rulings: 12/1/2004 Yes, you're allowed to have a deck consisting of sixty Relentless Rats and nothing else. 12/1/2004 Relentless Rats's last ability overrides the normal limit of four of an individual card in a Constructed deck. 12/1/2004 You may include more than one Relentless Rats in a Commander deck."
