The Archmage was a misclick, apologies. However, if I'm not mistaken, according to the rules committee, you can actually have both. I could be wrong, though.

I agree. With the right setup and mana, you can easily take over in the long game, but aggro decks are kind of the bane of this strategy.
That is a good option for sure, but it also costs specific colored mana, which might be restrictive in certain scenarios. Nonetheless, I'll look into it.
I mean, with cards being up due to Covid, I'd maybe consider this superbudget... Maybe I'm wrong.
Of all the Commander decks I've made, this is I believe the second cheapest one when you remove all the cards mentioned in the description. At an average of $1 per card, I'd say that's pretty superbudget for a custom-built deck.
Yeah, it's a little low, but we've got an enormous amount of treasure creation, which adds mana anyway.
We're talking a 30/30 flier by turn 5, plus near infinite card draw and probably more beaters. This deck is honestly kind of unfair.
I thought about it, but then I decided that going with this build seemed like more fun than just dredging your entire library away. With this build, you can pick and choose what cards to keep, which improves consistency.
However, most of the time in just random casual games, graveyard hate isn't the most common thing ever - to combat that, though, artifact destruction may do the trick against certain foes.
Yes, it seems that tokens do break it, but there aren't many token-maker archetypes that can keep up with this deck in any given format. Additionally, a quick analysis of the wordage of Leyline makes it pretty clear that if it *would* be put into a graveyard, it's exiled rather than doing so, so it seems to be a nice workaround.
Essentially, but beefed up for the format.
It's like modern delver utilizing Murktide Regent to play a 2 mana 8/8 flier while you hold countermagic as a backup.
According to EDHREC, no one actually runs Opal, incredibly. Why that is, I'm not entirely sure; maybe it's just sometimes too slow if you have too little artifacts in your opening hand.
That's pretty true, I'd be interested to see the reasoning why, if there is any.
Surprisingly, no. I took basically this entire deck from EDHREC by looking at the percentages of D&T decks with each of the above cards, and none of them even thought of Sentinel. Maybe it's an oversight on their part, maybe it's an intentional exclusion; but to figure it out, I might have to do a bit of research.
I mean, it's basically a nerfed Timetwister. I'm excited to see what you come up with.
Eh, the manabase is pretty fluctuatory. Anyone can shave a copy of one land and add a copy of another in any way they please; this is just an example.
Basically, I'm saying rather than blowing up about something random just for the sake of it, I'm asking everyone involved to calm down. Please.
If you want a slightly more streamlined list, remove Atraxa from the main deck and leave her in the Command Zone. Otherwise, nicely done.
Do not use that word again.
