Deck discussion for best mill deck in the game

ALL Mill decks need to run Relic of Progenitus cause with all the creatures that when they go to the graveyard, Your whole graveyard comes back you'll never mill them like emrakul... so as long as this is on the board you sac it after he goes to the graveyard that way yours triggers first...

No, not ALL mill decks. Mine does not give my opponent a chance to get that far: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=341982

i would recommend another archive trap over something. idk either a mind funeral or something because it can go off turn one.

You are running 16 instant or sorcery speed low costed efficient mill cards. As well as 6 milling creatures and a grindstone. I can just about guarantee that by the time you can cast traumatize that it will mill just as much as a glimpse or an archive trap but for more mana.

My suggestion would be to drop the traumatize in favor of Painter's Servants. Since, well, they are an infinite combo with the grindstone that mills out immediately.

For your sideboard I'd suggest removal of all sorts. Stuff that you can put in when you find yourself facing a fast aggro deck. So cards like shrivel, consume the meek, damnation, doom blade, unsummon, negate etc.

I would throw in two more glimpses and a few isochron's scepters to attach them to.

I agree with the 2 extra glimpses, its probably the best mill card. Unfortunately it wont work with isochron because its a sorcery.

You are basically trying to combine several very different mill decks together here which is going to limit the effectiveness of any of them.

I suggest either committing to the Painter's Servant combo, run tutors and probably counter magic to defend it

Or you could go with a Brainfreeze storm combo, but again you'll want a different deck, built around some kind of fast draw engine like Ad Nauseam maybe.

Or you can certainly stick with a straight U/B mill using the cards like Glimpse and Mind Funeral, but in that case you are going to want to focus on that and not have so much of your deck taken up with the aforementioned combo pieces.

On a side note, another infinite combo is the interaction between Leyline of the Void and Helm of Obedience. Thats probably the one I might include if you decide to go with just U/B mill because it interacts with a card you are already going to be running anyway. That way you could just have a couple of the helms as a backup plan.
