Deck Description

This is a deck based off of another deck that I had (Called Retriever) from forever ago. I got some help from my friend, Pkmnfn, and built a budget version of it. I hope you like it!

Basically using Heartless Summoning as a engine, play your retrievers for free, and retrieve each other, this gives you infinite storm count. Than, you play a Brain Freeze or Grapeshot, to effectively kill your opponent. Everything in this deck also costs 2 cmc, so I went with Transmute, go figure.

For modern players out there, use Bitter Ordeal instead of Brain Freeze to make this deck Modern!

I'm trying to keep the deck price in the red box below $10.

Deck discussion for [Budget] Retriever Storm

This looks good! The only thing I would suggest is something to hold down creatures while you're trying to dig up the combo. Propaganda might be a good choice, Man-o' War and Ather Adept are also good choices (you probably wan man-o' war because of the two colorless). Tell me what you think!

what about just normal black removal?
Izzet charm and dimir charm works as a kind-of-removal...

Lol yeah, that might be good too. Infest is one of my favorite options, but normal targeted removal is good too.

This is an interesting deck! My suggestion would be adding some draw power (accumulated knowledge, for instance), and adding Perilous Myr :)

I'll look at some draw cards. Thanks for the suggestion!
