Deck Description

As usual, I was wandering aimlessly through the random card option on the Gatherers Page, and I came across a card, a quite interesting one at that -- Booby Trap.
At that instance, I decided that I'm going to build a deck, a budget deck off of it, and I talked to Pkmnfn about it...
So here it is! Hope you enjoy it.

This deck is LEGACY/VINTAGE, and I'm trying to keep the price less than $10 in the red box.

Deck discussion for [Budget] Booby Trapped!

This deck looks okay- Spy Network is a card I've wanted to work into a deck for a while now, and this deck seems like a nice home for it. This deck seems a little flimsy though. Any creature-based deck will easily run over this deck before you even ramp to enough to play the Trap. This can be nice for some casual kitchen-top games, but isn't my favorite deck in that environment either.

Yeah... maybe some blue "shields" that can protect me from attacks would be nice in this game.
Any idea on how I would be able to get the trap out sooner?

I was actually searching for some budget tutors when posting the previous comment, and I couldn't find any nice ones. The ramp scheme in Blue is no good either. Deranged Assistant might not actually be a bad option- Since you have the Restorations, it would give you the smallest chance of getting a trap into your grave while also providing some ramp. It's not the best suggestion, but I'm not really sure what to add here ^.^'

I'm not sure about getting out the trap sooner, but I would definitely suggest Fog Bank over the Wall of Frost since it can last longer and has flying :)

That's a great suggestion! :)

I was going to suggest Kraken Hatching for a quick defense, but Wall of frost is just 1 mana more and better.

I have fog bank in there for now, it blocks flying...

Other suggestions might be using clash cards, since you get to look at the top of their deck and you have a number of high cmc cards :)

Clash cards is a nice idea... but I think I already have enough see-their-top-card cards. Thanks though!
