The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...
Start typing a card name and use the auto-complete feature to quickly select the card you're trying to add. Enter a quantity and add that card to your sideboard!
Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.
So I've been thinking of ways to utilize the Ordeal cycle from the Theros block... this is what I came up with. Journey to Nowhere and Oblivion Ring acts as permanent exiles when Auratog is out (exploiting the stack). Nomad Mythmaker is perfect for this deck, and of course, there are the ordeals. Since this deck is two colours, Ordeal of Nylea can help especially for colour fixing. Mesa Enchantress will help with card draw. Ordeal of Heliod (my favourite of the cycle) helps keep you alive until you beat your opponent to death with Auratog. Canopy Cover for protection and avoiding combat. Retether is awesome! Just put all of it on Auratog and watch your opponent's face... Hope you enjoy this deck (it's mostly just for fun). This deck is MODERN!I'm trying to keep the price (red box) below $10.Comments Concerns Questions -- write them in the comments! If you have a deck that you want me to check out, give advice etc. write them too!My Other Budget Decks:[Budget] Bloodthirst[Budget] Stalked Prey[Budget] Life Gain[Budget] Infinite Fling[Budget] Lifelink

Genius interactions between the atog and the ordeals!
Thanks, I appreciate it! :D
I like the deck a lot. I do think that you would be a little better off with more creatures so you don't get stuck with enchantments in hand and no creatures to target. Since you are keeping it under $10 I would say go with Gatherer of Graces to give you a second sacrifice outlet. Also Aura Gnarlid is an effective beater that is dirt cheap. If you can squeeze them in some place Slippery Bogle would be great.Good luck with the deck!
Gatherer of Graces is an awesome suggestion! I'll try it out:)Slippery Bogle is a little costy, what about Gladcover Scout? (It's in [Budget] Monogreen Hexproof)Thanks for your help! :D
nice little combo deck, I had a couple of suggestions but then read your quote about keeping it modern, what a bout the enchantment creatures from theros, would any of those work here????

At the risk of sounding stupid :), but why do you have islands in there and a blue mana giving dual land, i can't see any card that needs blue mana. Other than that i like the deck.
i gues he took out the blue cards and forgot to exchange those lands
Yes, I originally had blue cards in there, but I took them out... and forgot to take out the lands. Thanks for the reminder! :D
i realy like the atog creatures and i never relized that auratog+rancor instawin was if they cant block him. you do need some mana for that but i realy like the idea.i would add Sphere of Safety becous all of your creatures aint good in blocking big creatures.check out my new flip deck if you have the time and tell me what you whink of it. http://www.mtgvault.com/kingholldder/decks/thumbs-up-get-it/
Yeah, Rancor and Auratog can get silly if they can't block. Sphere of Safety is a good idea, but I think it costs too much mana for this deck... I'm still playtesting it, so we'll see.Thank you! I will check out your deck.
Why islands and Sejiri Refuges?
I originally had blue cards in there, but I took them out, and forgot to take the blue mana lands out.
I've never thought of using Auratog to cause a pema-exile from O-ring and Journey. Though I remember reading something in the last rules update (M14's update) about erata on this type of abuse (though I could be wrong). Some cards you mite want to consider + their (red box) price:Aura Gnarlid $0.03eYavimaya Enchantress $0.10eUmbra Mystic $0.14eEthereal Armor $0.05eSpirit Mantle $0.21e
I didn't find the erata you mentioned, the Gatherer page said this:"If Journey to Nowhere leaves the battlefield before its first ability has resolved, its second ability will trigger and do nothing. Then its first ability will resolve and exile the targeted creature forever."I'm considering Ethereal Armor... what do you suggest taking out for it though? Thanks for all the suggestions! :D
Mite have been a comment about how future cards will be worded so that the perma-exile abuse can't be done on them...I'm not sure what you'd be willing to remove / lower the number on, but I feel a little iffy about Retether and Nomad Mythmaker as they can't return ORing nor Journey. Also with Auratog out, Gatherer of Graces's ability becomes less useful. Maybe drop each by 1 and add 3 Ethereal?
Just did a little research, the perma-exile works, but similar cards printed from M14 onwards are worded in a way that doesn't allow the perma-exile. So sacreficing ORing and Journey still works. Now to work them into my Auratog I've been tinkering on :p
Yeah, Banisher Priest is worded that way...I took out a Retether and a Gatherer of Graces, and added 2 Ethereal Armors.
I played a serious auratog/enchantress deck many years ago to abuse rancor/ auratog. My alternate creature of choice was Bird of Paradise with Ancestral Mask for the win. Birds as a 2 of might put you over your budget, but connecting with a 20/22 Bird for the win has such an awsome feeling to it. Umbras might help, but your deck seems pretty solid as is. Ethereal Armor should also make the deck somehow.
Thanks! What should I take out for Ethereal Armor though?
Maybe consider Cantivore? I recently build a similar deck and found them to be nice when testing it. They are a nice plan B :)
That's a great suggestion!Edit: It's not modern legal :(
oops :( my mistake
No problem, I do that all the time :P
Why not four rancor? You could take a look at Open the Vaults: Maybe its a little expensive but it could be the ultimate kill when mana enough. Maybe angelic destiny. its an aura and it can be very good in this deck.Could you take a look at my monoblack deck. I have made it public
Angelic Destiny is definitely out of the budget, I only have two Rancors also because of budget reasons...I'll look at your deck.
