To me the art on the card looks like Chandra, so I stuck it in.

You may want to consider : Seething Song, and Rite of Flame as mana boosters. Though they aren't legal in modern, just some ideas.
I figured this deck was kind of lighthearted. It does prominently feature storm crow after all. :) And yeah you never know where discussions are going to spin off into. Ah the internet, it's wonders will never cease.
Ah shucks NorthernWarlord thank you, and a tip of the hat to you for you being an advocate of congeniality. We need more people like that on the internet.
Oops, like I said, I don't mean to put words in anyone's mouth but sorry if I did.
Every deck needs more cowbell- I mean storm crow.
Yeah I prefer card synergy in decks as opposed to specific combos. But I have some decks designed to get specific combos and win within three turns. I saw some of the epic combo decks on here and thought they would be really fun to play. And for the the first run they were but after that... its predictable like you said. Anyway that's just my thoughts.
NorthernWarlord, I dislike fighting too but its the internet what were you expecting ;)Also I'm not sure it's a fight but rather a heated discussion. PhyrexianPossum seems to favor tight adherence to rules and formats while the others seem to be more familiar with looser casual settings, and this is what it looks like when world collide. (Hope I didn't put words in anyone's mouths but that's how I see it anyway .)
Yeah, how were they supposed to guess your gender?
I know what you mean. I have a couple decks that I never use anymore because they are too powerful. They're not that fun to play, and none of my friends want me to play them. Yet therein lies my issue with the game. I have to make decks that pull their punches, so to speak. It's like speed walking as an Olympic event "Let's see who is the fastest at medium speed." What's the point?
What about Ghoulcaller's Bell, Dream Twist, and Visions of Beyond.
True but in my local store group the only one who runs an emrakul in any deck is me. :)And that seems like a lot of work just for a one contingency . But as you said could be useful in a sideboard.
If you build your deck right mesmeric orb hurts your opponent far more than you.
Here's a bunch of the best land lock down cards I could find:http://www.mtgvault.com/stylee19/decks/land-tying/
I tried a elf mana accel deck with Eldrazi. I tried to boost mana to get out Spawnsire of Ulamog and then use it's abilities to cast a ton of Eldrazi spells from outside the game. Here is a link to it if you want to look at it. http://www.mtgvault.com/stylee19/decks/elven-ulamog-cult-advice/Sadly when I played it I found that it was still too slow to be very effective. I hope you have better luck though.
Locking down land is tricky, and usually isn't worth it unless your really going to commit to it and build a deck completely around it. Even then there are other, better, funner ways to build a control deck. Especially in blue. Counter spells abound in blue. Although my favorite control deck is a red black mix that you can look at here http://www.mtgvault.com/stylee19/decks/insult-and-injury-2/For milling here is my Simple Blue Mill deckhhttp://www.mtgvault.com/stylee19/decks/simple-blue-mill/And I'm gonna look up some land lock down stuff cuz I don't know for sure what's out there. If I find anything I post it here.
Have you considered Ghost Quarter to force your opponent to search their deck for a guaranteed Archive Trap trigger.
Looks fun.
What about Prey Upon instead of Pit Fight? Only one green mana and does the same thing. Fits the flavor too. Although it is a sorcery, as opposed to a instant but still, think about it.
Thanks, I'll consider it.
