Guttersnipe?

I thought about running 3x of him along with 3x of the other 3 creatures. Maybe I'll sideboard him. You think it will speed up the deck?

I think it will make your burn spells hurt much more. Since that is the whole point of him. I mean, shock for four direct damage? Seems good.

waste of turn 3. Guttersnipe is not good in burn decks. It is good in midrange decks that run a fair amount of instants like counterspells, not in aggressive burn decks where your goal is to resolve 7 spells to kill your opponent.

I would suggest boros charm since your already playing a w/r land. And it might be too slow but Warleader's Helix is pretty nice against an aggro/burn mirror. volcanic geyser doesn’t seem optimal. If you don’t want to add white then skullcrack is pretty sweet.

As will91595 said i thing that a white splash is really strong, check my version http://www.mtgvault.com/sang11/decks/rw-burn/

Guttersnipe, in my opion, its not a good choice, I have playtested him and it makes you loose the third turn, better play a Chandra's Phoenix in this turn and rush damage. Warleader's Helix is a better choice in place of Fated Conflagration, but it can be used against planeswalkers like Elspeth, Sun's Champion, so it may be better in the sideboard.

If you play against a mono blue, Master of Waves will crush your soul, so the white splash make it more consistent against this deck, or decks with bigger creatures because of Chained to The Rocks

Skullcrack would be better than Volcanic Geyser

What is a good way to deal with Master of Waves? Maybe sideboard Last Breath?

nope, Chained to the Rocks would be better.

Anger of the gods. Overload mizzium mortars and other things that don't target.

Also, Skullcrack to prevent life gaining in control decks should be in sb at least. Last Breath and Volcain Geyser shouldnt be, in my opinion in the sideboard. Maybe Electrickery to deal with tokens or aggro decks and consider something to change the cards that target creatures if you play against a deck without creatures.

Anger of the Gods and Mizzium Morters dont kill Master of Waves, overloaded or otherwise.

skullcrack and any of them do, but thats not what he suggested.

I know, just saying that Skullcrack can do it, but Anger of the Gods also exile the Chandra's Phoenix and Mizzium Mortars + Skullcrack need 8 mana (imposible in this deck), so the only way with red spells available is this combination ( I think). Chained to the Rocks for the win!

or, you ignore the master of waves, burn out the tokens with firedancer damage, and let him try to kill you with a 2/1....mono blue is not a really troublesome matchup for a well built burn deck. Ive had more trouble with RG monsters and White Weenie. UW control and Mono blue/black are almost autowins.

Ive tested a lot whit a similar deck against a mono blue, and if he get 4 tokens you need more than a turn to take off the tokens, he was a pain in the ass for me, but chained to the rocks solves it, at least when i have one in hand

Ok, I splashed some more white and built a decent sideboard. Stormbreath Dragon is for control decks since it has protection from white. Any other sideboard suggestions?

I'd change this deck from top to bottom... ...not worth to add white only for what you have here... ...I'd make suggestions, but truth is, I won't make a simple burn deck Boros...

Either make it mono-Red, or put Chained to the Rocks in the main deck along with some Warleader's Helix... ...& you should have at least 11 sources of white mana as well(add 2 Guildgates & 1 plains, or 3 gates)....

For the sideboard: 2 Burning Earth & you should put Confligration in the sideboard & only 1-2 copies of it, because it's not as good as it looks... ...Confligration can't deal damage to your opponent, so it won't trigger the Satyr, not to say that any burn that deals damage to a player can assign that damage to a planeswalker... ...you'd be better off with Warleader's Helix & the Boros Charm you have there is awesome as well.......

I wouldn't use Purphoros in this one... ...sure you keep it for it's Trigger & it can be good with so many tokens & Phoneix's(+1/+0) & he can become a creature, but hardly... ...I'd drop him for Stormbreath in the main deck if not Flame-Wreathed Phoneix wich I highly recommand.......

Searing Blood is fine when you have other burn spells along with it in your hand, but when alone - & you don't have any drawpower in this deck - it won't do anything in most situations... ...it works when you draw in the right order, but in a tight game, when you draw in the late game & it's eaither a land, or Searing Blood & the opponent has bigger creatures, than you're done... ...I'd run lesser in the main deck & the rest in the sideboard for aggro decks.......

These are my thoughts for now... ...if you'd consider making this deck more Boros(ish), you could might grab some inspiration here: http://www.mtgvault.com/poetmasterx/decks/sparkphoneix/
