I can see how a monk could be like a 5th stonehorn target for venser and provide a finisher for with Venser's second ability. I just do not see it being powerful on its own though. Like would I play this over say a sun titan to get back artifacts, oblivion rings, talismans and geists and blade spicers postboard? It seems like I do need the monk needs some more enablers beside venser to make it powerful enough.

That is much better idea than the celestial purges. What would you cut from the main board to add the revoke existence?

my reasoning for the satchel is to act like a 4th talisman or a 5th planeswalker by either giving 2 life at a time or to sneak lands into play to thin the deck.

I like the geist suggestion. However do you think it is a little too slow in the 5 drop position which it shares with venser and gideon?

How is the white sun zenith working for you? How often do you get to cast it in games, and for how many creatures?

I have been trying to cram heartless summoning in those colours with unburial rites as a secondary win condition. I am all in on flayer's triggered ability by using undying evil and mikaus to stabilise my board. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=293578

I personally would use geth's verdict over go for the throat. I think it is a better removal over monogreen decks and wolf run ramp decks utilising dungrove elder.

I like geralf's ability to zap at least 4 life a turn, and possible 11 life if you have the flayer (3+2, 4+2). You could use messengers for a more all in approach game 1, and then board in mirrans for the green decks.

Perilous myr is not a card i like to top deck though. But you got a point if i want to all in combo, i need more of the myr in my graveyard. Sphere of the suns intrigues me. I think it makes a solemn turn 3 more consistent. But I am not sure how much that will affect the explosiveness the deck.

What is wrong with the deck? I want to use heart summoning as a second way of getting big creatures out when I do not draw into an unburial rite. Is the creatures I chose not effective or is does heartless summoning lose consistency in controlling and emptying creatures into the graveyard

Have you thought about timely reinforcements, master's call or midnight haunting? More creatures to give swords to and good against aggro.

Am working on an architect blade without the delver atm. Have a look and let me know what you think.

Nephalia drownyard seems out of place in the deck. Milling them is not your win condition, and you not utilise your graveyard in the deck. Probably best play another swamp and darkslick shores

I was looking at using red to ramp to have fun with molten masticore. The other option i was thinking was moltensteel dragon with urabrask in play.

Hey thanks for the comment before on my splinter myr deck.

Since myr galvaniser still exists in standard, been thinking what to do with the infinite mana combo.
Got any thoughts?

my reasoning was that if you are facing an aggro deck game 1 like a tempered steel, illusion or puresteel deck which does not rely on fetch lands or tutor abilities, the getting to 5 land on turn 5 is important. it also worth having land left out even when you are not using it because you bluffing splinter twin. it is worth looking at cutting a few land so need to test which is better. maybe 22 23 land ?

if I was cut more land, should I play cards for interaction, or should I complete the mental misstep or maybe looking at Jace adept or beleren?

Thanks for the comment. This is my first decklist I posted back when only scars of mirrodin was available.

I like mindcrank + bloodchief ascension combo but I find the main problem with it in blue/black is the difficulty in dealing 2 damage per turn consistently. Chancellor of the dross is a good card and might think of adding 1 or 2 available for that particular draw. I think first thing I would do is to reduce number of eel umbras and sword of body and minds for livewire lashes in addition to mindcrank. I might have to also look into getting faster creatures such as vampire lacerators and pulse trackers. Any other suggestions?

I was not sure about the land. I wanted to consistently hit 5 lands to hit mindsludge and also increases amount of cards able to be discarded by ritualist. I also it was important to get enough mana to cast karn comfortably when you acquire him.

I reckon add some bonehoards with stoneforge mystic. It would be a good plan B when they target your grand architect and works well with venser's abilities.

it is expensive eh but jace is too good a card to ignore. Tezzeret is hard to obtain in my area though. Venser is okay

I do not think the clasp is good in this deck. Koth is the guy I want sticking around. Sark threatens to win so when I would play him I intend to finish the game next turn when possible. Otherwise if he cannot play his last ability, he gives temporary card advantage so I can get a card for the win.

Been thinking about everflowing chalice and whether it was helpful for this deck. However not sure if this deck is better off as a ramping deck or a control deck...

I like the spreading seas suggestion. I will try to find a place for it in the main. Maybe over spell leak?

Would a prophetic prism be useful compared to the ichor wellspring? You can draw a card when it enters battlefield and it can fix your mana base. It could be better then the wellspring because you cannot sacrifice your artifact.
