Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (15 cards)

Creatures (3)

Sorceries (2)

Enchantments (1)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

A weird idea I had to see if you could combine Notion Thief and Laboratory Maniac with cards that let your opponent draw.

Any input greatly appreciated: I feel it's a little weak now.

EDIT 1: Awesome input, guys! First round of edits.

MAIN DECK

- 2 Font of Mythos
- 4 Sandbar Merfolk
- 4 Doom Blade
- 4 Reliquary Tower

+ 3 Lightning Greaves
+ 2 Kami of the Crescent Moon
+ 3 Dark Ritual
+ 4 Diabolic Edict
+ 2 Whispering Madness

SIDEBOARD

- 3 Swiftfoot Boots
+ 3 Walking Atlas

How to Play

Combo Notion Thief, Laboratory Maniac and cards that force your opponents to draw in order to get a super-speed-suicide mill going. There's a little bit of removal and control, to keep the vital pieces alive.

I'm not sure what the rules are but hypothetical if you played a cephalid looter. his ability should give you the card draw and your enemy the discard. as long as notion thief is out there, pretty evil stuff.

forced fruition maybe? or psychosis crawler? kami of the crescent moon would be cool too i think. sturmgeist could be another win-condition. u could also put in temple bell or the original jace. lots of things to do with this. cool idea

I would use kami of the crescent moon. Also I would even consider walking atlas, just to get lands out of your hand faster because you are gonna draw a lot. Might I also suggest a couple board wipes? because playing against control and some combo decks with will do well, but against white weenie aggro or red deck wins, this is just gonna add fuel to the fire for the first couple turn. Maybe something like decree of pain, for the cycling effect.

I'll start by saying I like the deck/concept. I would add Jace, Memory Adept and make yourself draw 10 for his 0 ability. also I prefer Diabolic Edict over Doom Blades and Lightning Greaves over Swiftfoot Boots. As well I think going to 21 lands and adding 4 Dark Rituals would give you more chance of speeding up the game in your favor early on. Def main deck the Greavs/ Swiftboots to protect your Laboratory Maniac. Just a few suggestions take it for what it is.

you completely misinterpret something here. jace doesn't let your draw 10 cards. the cards are put from the library into the graveyard this doesn't trigger notion thief. but he could still be used to speed up the milling process.

What about Whispering Madness and Otherworld Atlas ? These would combo pretty well with Notion Thief and empty your library pretty fast. Whispering Madness with Notion Thief and Reliquary Tower creates some kind of void that annihilates your opponent's hand and makes you draw a mother load of cards.

You could also use Sphinx's Revelation to draw a precise amount of card and make sure you get your Laboratory Maniac before you deck yourself out.

Both added. Reliquary Tower in gone now, but I'm hoping Venser's Journal can fill the gap with help from the Atlases.

I think you really should hold onto at least 2 towers just in case

I hate losing to Laboratory Maniac! Notion Thief is cool though. Check out my deck using him and give me suggestions if you would be so kind. http://www.mtgvault.com/1111222334/decks/burning-notion/

The deck has a cool concept but seems to slow to be competitive. Keep up the creative thinking! +1
