Deck Description

Land destruction: it's either quick or painless, but never both. This deck takes the former route.

EDITS THE FIRST:

More groundskeepers, sideboard filled out.

- 1 Akki Avalanchers
- 1 Akki Blizzard-Herder
+2 Groundskeeper
+ 2 Braids, Cabal Minion (sideboard)
+ 3 Boom // Bust (sideboard)
+ 3 Life from the Loam (sideboard)
+ 3 Pyroclasm (sideboard)
+ 2 Sinkhole (sideboard)

EDITS THE SECOND:

Playing around with lands

- 4 Sign in Blood
- 1 Akki Raider
- 1 Epicenter
+ 3 Night's Whisper
+ 2 Llanowar Wastes
+ 1 Sulfurous Springs

EDITS THE THIRD:

Hell yeah Ruinous Minotaur. I love it when a normally crap card just WORKS with one particular deck.

-1 Groundskeeper
-1 Harrow
+ 2 Keldon Arsonist

How to Play

Nuke your own lands to take our your opponent's quickly. Your low curve hopefully means being able to take advantage of all that land-death more easily than he can, plus you've got a few tricks (groundskeeper, harvest wurm, crucible of worlds) for bringing your stuff back.

Deck discussion for Akki Akki! Avalanche Inc.

Why not 4 Groundskeepers and more Epicenters? Strip Mine is brutal! Sign in Blood and Harrow speed up the deck. Nice mana curve. Very well balanced use of mana color. The deck looks nice! What cards in the deck is restricted or banned?

Please check out one of my decks and give advice!

Terramorphic Expanse over Jund Panorama.

Good point. Changed to Evolving Wilds instead because I like the art better, but basically the same thing.

Life from the loam would be a good addition to this deck, and I would add Touch and Go as well for shits and giggles, otherwise a great deck!

Boom // bust over rancid earth just because it's faster by a turn and on turn 6 you can blow up everything.

Cool thought. I'm trying not to knock the mana balance around too much by removing any more black, but I've chucked it in the sideboard to play around with it.

Llanowar wastes, dragons kill summit and rootbound crag are all like two dollars an they make your mana much better also you should probably be at 22 lands so you can hit 3 mana on turn 3.

Also nights whisper is a easier to cast sign in blood.

Did not know of Night's Whisper, it rocks in a deck with two colors or more! Good advice.

I'm leery about using too many dual lands, because so many abilities in this deck specify "basic land" and I'm kinda reliant on it. I've nuked some stuff to move up from 20 --> 23 lands and added a bit more dual stuff in there, but I don't know what to take out at this point, if push comes to shove.

lotus cobra, really helps with getting mana even with 1 or 2 lands out. scapeshift is so powerful it hurts, get out 4 strip mines, but that 4 cmc may be a problem. burgeoning never hurt either, just some suggestions. otherwise this deck looks brutal, big ups.

was just trying to make a land destruction deck myself, not as straightforward and aggressive as yours but i try. if ya wanna check it out http://www.mtgvault.com/squidfreak/decks/lands-i-think-not/.

Would cycling lands help?
You could draw for 1-2 mana, then play it again with Crucible of Worlds.

Why do people like shock lands? Blackcleave Cliffs, Copperline Gorge, and Dragonskull Summit are so much better.

I strongly agree with you there, but if you can afford to and find them, the zendikar fetch lands are I would argue almost as powerful

People use shock lands in combinations with fetch lands to make most lands produce any color you need.
Also shocks interact favorably with things like dragon skull summit

Without those interactions the other lands are of similar powee

I would put and acidic slim in to destroy more lands not sure if you're going for low mana cost but if u arnt this will help

Nice deck man! +1 from me. I would consider replacing the 4 strip mines for Ghost quarters since you can target basics which your opponent will eventually run out of and you can target them on their upkeep leaving them always tapped down. This will also make your deck Legacy legal/playable. :)
I'm really looking for some feedback on my new Crucible Titania self LD deck. Here's the link if you happen to have a minute. :)
