A copy of a casual deck I own.

It's based completely off of the cosmic horror stories of H.P. Lovecraft

Deck discussion for Discard / lovecraftian horror

Ooooh I love it. Lovecraftian horror is some of my favorite, and this deck looks fun in a casual setting. Only thing I'd reccomend is some sort of removal spells to keep alive to play all of the big cards you have.

I was just asking stickngojuggalo if he'd seen the 2020 series lovecraft county, which I can recommend.

He's just upvoted one of my merfolk decks, and I'm here to tell that I have an older version of it
https://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/modern-drexiya-merfolk/

The "how to play" section of that holds some clues to a growing modern myth about "drexiya".
A musical band has long been hinting at some mythology based on two different myths about a black atlantis.
With the interest in lovecraft it is one of the most interesting modern myths I've seen in a long time.

Interesting... I haven't seen that show yet, but I've been meaning to when I can find the time.

When you do, pay attention to details. There are lots of hidden details and lore.

Thanks for the comments guys. I appreciate the encouragement. I just edited this deck today removing ×3 ghastlord of the fugue and time warps for a few lower cost spells that i feel fit the theme better and ad some diversity. This deck is made of cards I had laying around. As for removal I tend to just play my own game and ignore the opponent other then attacking with creatures that make them discard and not worrying about being blocked either because it is is pay 1 regenerate, unblockable or its "nemesis of reason".

First few turns are usually just mill spells. You may be surprised by how well this works but my casual setting is also different then any other. Cheers friends.

Currently working on my own merfolk deck
