No problem. The main thing I wanted to convey was to lower your overall CMC, and even out your color curve as much as possible. If you want, jump over to my profile and check out my decks. I'm not a pro, but I don't build bad decks. I also pride myself on finding obscure cards that nobody else plays with and finding spots for them in my builds that make them work well.

Not so much "weak" cards, but cards that are killing your mana/color curve. I have a particular hate for Iona and Avacyn, but that's just me. Besides that, I don't think you need those two to make this deck win. Also, Skirmisher, Dawnbreak Reclaimer, Emeria Shepherd and Reya, Dawnbringer. I would focus on tutors, specifically Rhystic, Enlightened, and Idyllic. Anything to get your Exquisite Blood/Sanguine Bond combo out.I would also swap out Rune-Tail with the Iroas god of Victory. Same basic effect, but much harder to destroy. Drop Assemble the Legion, and put in Athreos, God of Passage. If you want to keep Desecration Demon relevant, find a way to untap him if an opponent taps him. Defiant Stand (instant, but a nasty surprise for an opponent thinking the demon won't be able to block)Hope and Glory (instant) Inspirit (instant) Jandor's Saddlebags (artifact)Puppet Strings (artifact) Staff of Domination (artifact) Thornbite Staff (equipment) Thousand-Year Elixir (artifact). There's also Master of Cruelties you could think about. Last thing for now, reduce your lands to 35. I know it might seem low, but I run no more than 34 in all my decks, and I very rarely get mana screwed.
Man, you REALLY gotta even out your color curve. You're running Mardu colors, so I would look into some Khans stuff. Ankle Shanker, for instance. As it stands right now, you're gonna get hammered by fast/rampy/aggro/control decks. You need to get faster, because as soon as I see Kaalia, or Tariel as commanders, I'm going to automatically assume you have Iona and Avacyn in there. You become my target immediately. You need a way to survive until you get your wincon out. There's so much lifegain and protection stuff in W/B (even artifacts: Witchbane Orb, Orbs of Warding, Eternity Vessel, etc..)I'd look into Wight of Precinct Six, Malignus and Scourge of Geier Reach for creatures. Maybe Grave Titan (for tokens), Sidisi, Undead Visier (for sacking tokens to tutor good stuff) and Phyrexian Altar (for colored mana ramp). Maybe Rise of the Dark Realms for that late game bomb/wincon.Hope that helps! :)
Like I said above, this is meant to be more fun/annoying. Most of my best B stuff in in my Prossh and Grimgrin decks. I'm weird, I guess, because when I build decks, I use only what I have on hand. If there's something I desperately need to make a deck run ridiculously better I'll go get it, but only if it's under $5. Every $ intensive card I own was a pull from a booster box, fat pack or holiday box. I.E.: my Zurgo deck. I don't run Damnation because it's $60 card, while being awesome, it wouldn't make Zurgo run significantly better if I had it.
Get Atreos out as soon as you can, play creatures with extort, start extorting. If your creatures die, Athreos makes them pay 3 life or they go back to your hand. It's meant to be more fun and annoying than competitive. I need some sac outlets though, Phyrexian Altar, Carnage Altar, Ashnod's altar, ETC..I also need Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood to make this a deck that wins regularly, but it's still fun to play.
I made an extort deck with Athreos as the commander. Mortuary is fun in this deck.http://www.mtgvault.com/steelspike/decks/extortion-is-fun/
So I went and picked up Tsabo Tavoc to replace Kaervek as commander. I'll playtest and get back to you guys.
You're both right.I'm disappointed in myself, actually, and I think I may have figured out why it doesn't run right: This is exactly the sort of deck I hate playing against. Maybe I sort of set myself up to fail unconsciously because I hate such restrictive gameplay. Thanks. No idea what I was thinking with this. Gonna leave it up though just because.
Pretty good. Me, I'd find a spot for Clone Legion, Kruphix God of Horizons, Prophet of Kruphix and Progenitor Mimic.
Might I suggest Predator Ooze in place of Lumberknot? I know Ooze's ability is only when a creature damaged by it dies, but it can get counters twice as fast as Lknot. Also, may I suggest swapping out Dark Prophecy with Asceticism? it grants your creatures hexproof without saying hexproof, so it gets around Archetype of Endurance and Glaring Spotlight. Plus, you can pay 1G to regen target creature. Utility like crazy. These suggestions would put the deck cost at about $53. Not crazy over, but if you're a stickler with budget meaning less than 50...
Umoonpuca - You obviously haven't played against a Rhys the Redeemed or Krenko deck yet if you think early game doesn't count...Twally - I would get Jace, Memory Adept and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage for walkers. Quicksilver Amulet for surprise defense and playing your monsters for 4 mana at any time. Frozen Aether would be good with Braids. Your opponents stuff comes into play tapped, except lands.
Shrieking Mogg with Relentless Assault is always a fun combo. There's also that new BFZ card that deals damage based on how many creatures you control. I would definitely go with Krenko for your commander, though. Add in Phyrexian Altar for a good sac outlet that gets you colored mana and Ashnod's Altar for colorless. Make a crap ton of goblins, sac half for mana, and fling the rest with Siege-Gang Commander.
Hmmm... I see it now. Unfortunately, I can't find my copy of assault suit...Anyway, this deck is getting a serious overhaul and the only thing I'll be missing is Damnation because I can't justify spending $60 on one card that won't make THAT big a difference in how the deck is played.
Too many "mana dorks" (mana producing creatures), not enough Joraga Warcaller. Ezuri, Renegade Leader and Freyalise, Llanowr's Fury should go in there. Drop Utopia Sprawl, and throw in Gravity Well. Also, find a spot for Bower Passage. These two cards are the best "flying hate" you can get. If you can afford it, Doubling Season. It doubles planeswalker loyalty counters, but only if you have it in play when you cast the planeswalkers. You could also throw in some proliferate ability/effect to ramp loyalty. With these additions, you should be able to "elfball" your kids pretty easily.
I don't like assault suit. If you're playing a multiplayer game, there's a possibility that you could never have control of Zurgo for the rest of the game. If they're smart, they'll just keep passing him back and forth between themselves, keeping him off your field. Since this deck really only has Zurgo for creatures (eventually, that's all there will be, aside from Hoarder Dragon and Deathbringer Regent), Assault Suit could potentially nerf the crap out of my deck.
I run Grimgrin and Ruric Thar. Skullbriar is pretty darn good. I might just swap him with Pharika for my deathtouch deck...
How? Those lands don't have awakening counters on them until they're on the field...Unless I'm missing something...
Ah. I know that one very well. 99% of my decks were built with what I had on hand.
At least have darksteel plate or something to put on polukranos. I agree with camfrye, Doubling chant is less than worthless in an edh deck...
also, Darksteel Forge, Mycosynth Lattice and any token generation turns Pia and Kiran REALLY nasty
