The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Steampunk artifact combo deck that gets counters onto creatures like crazy. If your opponent can't deal you indirect damage, he'll have to stop you before you get a combo out or it will quickly spin out of their control.

Suggestions are welcome, I'm constantly trying to improve it!

How to Play

Based off of this deck: http://mtgvault.com/potilas/decks/steampunk/ I have improved on it so it is pretty competitive now. The main weakness is it's inability to counter spells and abilities. Although you get massive creatures out, it occasionally fails if you are playing against someone with indirect damage. Miren the Moaning well can be a life saver when you are only now starting to buff up your creatures and are low on life. Use it with an Arcbound creature and all it's counters get dumped on to something else. If you can get them onto a triskelion, it's often an easy win. The combos are super fun, make sure you have a Cloudpost in your opening hand or you will regret it.

Well, because if you look at the mana curve, it really needs 16 post. You always see 12 post/16 post decks that just have massive creatures, but those would never have time to get them out. With the overload of mana you get late game you can buff clockwork dragon and chronomaton, and if you have the combo of one of those two or steel overseer plus unwinding clock and voltaic key (especially in a three way game). I used to run Urzatron, but it wasn't predictable enough. Plus, I can use them since there isn't any color. Miren the moaning's ability helps a lot late game and buried ruin has saved me a couple times as well.

Ohh I see. I was just wondering cause with lands like Vesuva being in this deck, it's almost unnecessarily expensive

Yes, well luckily they aren't nearly as expensive as it's estimating. In reality they are usually more like 10 bucks as the mid price. It's still pretty expensive, but it's damn fun to play with.
