Deck Description

This is an Eldrazi Deck that I am trying to build, so far I am struggling in balancing it so I can get to the powerful late game they should provide... Looking for tips! I mostly play with my friends so its a modern/casual NOT super competitive.

I don't want some infinite combo that will suck all the fun out of the game, just a deck that I can have a fun time playing with my friends. I also love Eldrazi.

I am planning on buying the (finished) deck at some point so trying to hold back (if possible) on the more expensive cards then people so, if not that is fine.

We also do not use side decks, so don't bother putting in counters to stuff.

Deck discussion for Eldrazi Tron Titans

This is my budget mono green tron deck: (tron = all 3 Urza's)

(ones was 99$ dunno why is getting more and more expensive each time I look)

Eldrazi Tron is a real tier deck in modern but with 700§ is tiny bit expensive: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/923086#paper
But you said casual is fine anyways.

Sadly Eye of Ugin is banned in modern:

In general try not to go overboard with to expensive cards and try to think of a gameplan. Turn 1 this, turn 2 that...
Reality Smasher will end the game really fast. Put an Eldrazi Conscription on him and the game is over at 8 mana.
Meaning the value of Pathrazer of Ulamog goes down really fast if you already one....

Back to the game-plan problem, Eldrazi basically have 2 ways of playing and I woundnt mix them that much.
Ramp: Expedition Map into Mind Stone ... Hedron Archive ... Oblivion Sower ... Ulamog
Or
Aggro: Eldrazi Mimic ... Matter Reshaper ... Thought-Knot Seer ... Reality Smasher

Also Eldrazi have some nice exile synergies Blight Herder, Thought-Knot Seer, Oblivion Sower... throw in some Relic of Progenitus and that can be a reasonably idea too.

Is Skittering Invasion a playable card? Never seen it used but would ramp you from 7 mana straight into 12 mana range...

I can't believe i missed Eye of Ugin being banned... wow... I feel kind of stupid now. would an Eldrazi deck like this be playable without it? I will probably chop down on most of the higher cost Eldrazi but I like the idea of just pumping out powerhouse creatures every turn, Its meant to be more of a fun deck... your build looks awesome tho so i might think about going that route too!

Ramp is more what I was going for... will probably adjust the deck for that more for now... ESPECIALLY the addition of the Expedition Map getting the needed lands for the Urza.

Im trying to decide the last card to remove... I do Deceiver of Forms for the ridiculous fun things that can be done with it but if i want to play a more serious game i can remove it so this will kind of be a 61 card deck. I'm using the Sideboard to show cards I've removed.

I removed Titans Presence reluctantly... while it would be good early game removal it doesn't really fit too well with the ramp, plus All is Dust just kills everything. Also All is Dust > Scour from Existence I thought it would be useful for single removal but at this point I feel All is Dust will just be way too strong of a swing.

I decided to keep Warden of Geometries at 4 because it still helps the ramp even tho it contests with and loses to Hedron at turn 3/4 but since temple lets me play him turn 3 i thought it should be fine, plus it gives me those precious Colorless for Thought and Matter Reshaper.

Most of the other Eldrazi cards I've removed since the Artifacts should (hopefully) provide enough ramp to go straight into the bigger boys, as well the additional draw effects are AMAZING additions to it for the late game since the deck has no real card draw.

Another card I was thinking about removing is Eldrazi Conscription. It is pretty strong but im not sure if it is THAT mandatory. Plus it saves me a pretty penny.

Thank you for your contributions so far! I am REALLY starting to feel this deck blooming... maybe i'm a little too happy about this... but still thank you! any other ideas you have?

I think the deck looks fun. The right amount of artifact ramp vs creatures needs to be playtested.

Minor tweaks would be cutting a Artisan of Kozilek for a 3rd All Is Dust.
Sea Gate Wreckage might be good card draw for low opportinity cost. Not sure which land could be cut though (1 Scavenger Grounds!?) .

Depending on your local matchups you might want to leave in Titan's Presence. Other good early game removals are Spatial Contortion and Warping Wail. Might keep then ready in the side board.

I noticed you probably think of this "wastes" / “eldrazi” / <> mana as something new rare or special.
Let me guide you through the world of colorless mana.

First of all the names: Matter Reshaper costs (2) generic mana {2} and one <> colorless mana {c} .

Little detour: Judge's Familiar costs a hybrid u/w. So it can be paid with u or w mana.
Relic of Progenitus costs one generic mana. As we know it can be paid with any mana: u/w/g/b/r/c.
Therefore a generic basically is a hybrid of those 6!

If and only if e.g. Sanctum of Ugin (as it reads on the card) would tape for generic mana, meaning hybrid u/w/g/b/r/c then you could use it to pay for a Lightning Bolt or a Path to Exile. And obviously that's impossible.

Therefore Sanctum of Ugin is tapping for colorless mana. Yes, that precious <> mana.
In fact any mana source that does not produce colored mana does produce colorless mana (duh).

Just to make it clear again: no card has and probably will ever produce one generic (1) mana.

That has been the case since alpha and was just a laziness of wizard because {c}{c} is longer to write on a Sol Ring https://magiccards.info/al/en/269.html then (2) and prior eldrazi there was never a need to make the difference clear.

Long story short. All your land produce colorless <> mana and casting Matter Reshaper is the easiest thing in the world for your deck.

Once more I feel kind of disappointed in myself... not too horribly surprised since I started playing again just as Shadows/Eldrich came out. Thanks for the knowledge, that REALLY helps!

I will probably throw in some Warping Wail's as i LOVE the versatility, I will also grab some titan's presence and Spatial Contortions since they are pretty cheap and play test the numbers.

All Is Dust is a BIT more money than i want to use on the deck in that area... 2 is already REALLY strong for most of the games I will be playing so I shouldn't need a 3rd, if I do I can always order another.

I will also look into Sea Gate Wreckage, unfortunately I doubt I will have much time this week but I will poke around when I am able. Probably have to see how fast the deck runs out of cards before adding Sea Gate.

Once again your help is invaluable! your wisdom is truly a gift upon me.

What do you think of Planar Bridge? For bringing out Ulamog/Kozilek. Also (and i realise this is a weird request so feel free to deny it) would you be willing to talk/message on discord this weekend if we have time? I would love to get this deck hammered out soon so I can start enjoying it. If it doesn't work for you once again no worries this is still insanely helpful :)
