Deck Description

This may just be too precariously balanced on timing, but I\'m going to build it anyway.

I need help. What can I trim away? I want no more than 65 cards in deck, and I need the land that I have now. I need some feedback please. I want to be able to time the suspend so that I can Sudden Impact just as my Ancestrals go off on my opponent, then hopefully with a Megrim or 2 out, Whistful thinking him, or, if it\'s big enough, Twincast the Impact, or the Ancestrals. There are a few layers...

Deck discussion for Pinpointing a Drop in the Ocean of Time

From looking at what you have there, you could lose the Mindstabs (I see why you have it in there, but it's a little casting cost prohibative), the Delays, and possibly even the Evacuations, as well as a couple of the lands. The Lotus Bloom with all the counter removal things you have in there will give you ample mana, plus if you cut down your overall number in the deck, you won't need as much land to have it go off. Hope this helps!

I'm almost done putting the deck together. I think the only way for me to realy test it is to go against every type of deck I can find and tweak it little by little. Maybe the suspended mindstabs will end up working better than whistful thinking. Maybe I don't need the specters or the megrims for the deck. I want something with diversity to confuse the metagame. A lot of people will be playing discard, but I have fucking sudden impact as a main kill condition in it. It's black science man.

also the deck kinda counters itself with the fact that you try to make them discard but at the same time you want to cause damage equal to the # of cards in their hand. it contridicts itself

The deck is designed to overlap itself. What is the #1 issue with discard decks? Lack of cards in your opponent's hand. Ancestral him twice, Sudden Impact, then Whistful Thinking with a Megrim on the table.. That's at least 14 damage for seven mana, or for two more mana twincast the Impact or the Whistful thinking. I'll take it anyday over trying to win by discard when my opponent has nothing in their hand.
