When two clans come together, perhaps you get a mistake. Perhaps you get a crazy powerful control deck... with a lot of creatures. I'm not making use of cards outside of FRF or DoT... And yes, in an ideal world, instead of Dismal Backwater you would have Polluted Delta, instead of Scoured Barrens you'd have Caves of Koilos, and you'd have a set of 4 Mana Confluence. What can I say, I'm on a budget???
I think this may be a bit of an upgrade on pure Ojutai control as you get better kill spells and better creatures overall. The other big thing that I notice when you bring in some Black to the Ojutai control model is that you can have all of your spells work at instant speed whereas a lot of the removal in W/U is either enchantment based or at sorcery speed, which is a clear improvement. A little more aggressive than straight (nearly creatureless) control as well.Kill Spells: Sandblast, Ultimate PriceControl: Monastery Siege, Negate, Stratus DancerCard Draw: Anticipate, Dragonlord Ojutai, Sidisi, Undead VizierI've found some opinions that put Anticipate as being more useful as card draw than even Dig Through Time given the size of it, and its cost to play. All of the creatures have some sort of evasion. You have some level of card draw from turn 5 creatures (of which there are, perhaps, too many here...)The sideboard allows for the added control advantage of the color Hoser Surge of Righteousness, counter for dragons, Enchantment removal, and somewhat more situational and expensive spells. Might want to mainboard the commands in replacement for a Monastery Siege, Sandblast, and 2 Negate (or something like that)?
