Deck Description

I love fucking with people. "Target player gains life" is so much better than "you gain life." Why? Because I can enlist allies in group games.

This deck is also budget! It is actually under $10!

Got any good ideas for this deck? Let me know.

How to Play

Cast spells like Healing Leaves, Healing Salve, Heroes' Reunion, Life Burst, Refreshing Rain, or Rest for the Weary to heal yourself or players you think would be good allies for you.

Use Contaminated Ground and Evil Presence to not only boost your Sphere of Safety cost, but also to make your Refreshing Rain a zero drop.

If you've had your fun and wish to end the game in your favor, play Vizkopa Guildmage and activate its ability to deal damage whenever you gain life.

Use Elixir of Immortality to replenish your spells.

Deck discussion for Budget: Healer

Have you considered putting sanguine bond as a non sideboarded card?

Well if your willing to go over your budget a little, beacon of immortality is totally worth it, its about 4 bucks but you double target players life, I have seen people reach 100+ life with it. and you shuffle it back into your library

Ok but it can be a great late game card, also riot control can be amazing.

Blunt the assault would be a little better than riot control. Come late game, I either have Sphere of Safety on the field, or I should prolly be dead.

well then I cant help you much any more, maybe consider cards that double the amount of life you heal your self or others.

with the spells you already have it would be no problem getting to 100+ life. ive gotten to 100+ with just Mark of the Vampire and Elixir of Immortality. granted there was allot of exalted helping out but all it took was keeping a creature alive, so all you gotta do is get some more offense.

I honestly am not looking to become too offensive with this deck. I am trying to maintain myself as a healer.

I am thinking of ways to implement those spells being suggested that double life gaining.

If you want to see an offensive deck that heals, check out one of my vampire decks.

what about Hunters' Feast? have you considered it? or Boon Reflection and/or Rhox Faithmender also True Conviction?

I have. I am trying to keep my card count low. It is not a good mana conversion for life gain compared to the cards I have already in the deck. Maybe if I was trying to heal a group of people, but I do not think there are any bosses that need to be slain in Magic: The Gathering... Yet...

well with Boon Reflection and Rhox Faithmender you could gain 2ice the life and if you have them both you would double that. and if you want to go on the offensive True Conviction will give doublestrike in addition to lifelink to all your creatures but it wont be so helpful if your creatures already have lifelink.

The unfortunate thing about these cards is their mana costs. Also, I am trying to limit my creature count. I use Vizkopa because it is a budget replacement for Sanguine Bond.

oh i see, but bad thing about that one is to deal damage it means using extra mana every turn that you want to deal damage.

With most everything in the deck being a two drop thats not really a problem late game

I would like to duel against this deck with my Exalted deck. with me dealing massive damage and you gaining life for every spell you cast that duel would probably take a while.

I took out the spheres of safety for 2 more mana and 2 chalices of life which are a great winning condition :)

Add in Exquisite Blood, combine that with Vizkopa Guildmage and you have a instant win situation. Also with all the new sets Exquisite Blood is way down in price. Hope this helps.
