A conceptual test of a standard deck using Door to Nothingness when M13 comes out. Essentially, the point is to stall the game using Fog, Moonmist, and Safe Passage while you build up a heavy land base and draw into Door to Nothingness. Pacifism, Oblivion Ring, and Stave Off are excellent for control. Caravan Vigil and Dawntreader Elk combo very well for more lands. Rites of Flourishing is a risk due to its bonus to both players, but considering the number of fog-effects in here, the faster the game goes in building up, the better. The SB is pretty powerful in here too. Stuffy Doll is an excellent defender. Elixir of immortality is very useful on its own, plus it helps to prevent milling and graveyard removal. Solemn Simulacrum is a great blocker and combos well with the very diverse Trading Post. Also included in main are: 2 x Boundless Realms Also included in SB are: 2 x Trading Post 2 x Faith's Reward 2 x Staff of Nin As always, comments welcome :) Edit: For those who may not know the new M13 cards in here: **Boundless Realms: 6CF Sorcery - Search your library for X basic land cards, where X is the number of lands you control, and put them onto the battlefield tapped. Then shuffle your library. **Trading Post: 4C Artifact - 1, {T}, Discard a card: You gain 4 life. 1, {T}, Pay 1 life: Put a 0/1 white Goat creature token onto the battlefield. 1, {T}, Sacrifice a creature: Return target artifact card from your graveyard to your hand. 1, {T}, Sacrifice an artifact: Draw a card. **Faith's Reward: 3CW Instant - Return to the battlefield all permanent cards in your graveyard that were put there from the battlefield this turn. **Staff of Nin: 6C Artifact - At the beginning of your upkeep, draw a card. {T}: Staff of Nin deals 1 damage to target creature or player.

I cant help but wonder if there are better ramp options than the Titan in this build. I cant imagine youre too thrilled seeing it in your opening hand. And, although you can get him out quickly, i wonder if the mana woukd be better spent on more control or direct thinning. Maybe its just me.... Hope these ideas help. Should you get a chance, please take a look at my Mind Over Matter deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=145831 ). Any comments or suggestions you could offer would be much appreciated. If that deck doesn't suit your tastes, feel free to click on my name to see my full deck list. Thanks.

That is a good point. Having him in your opening hand is both a blessing and a curse. Obviously 6 mana is a lot, but I can generally get it out fairly quickly. Obviously the main benefit is the land you initially get, but also puts into play a serious blocker that should fend off considerable damage the following turn, hopefully not requiring a fog-effect that turn. Then the next turn I have the decision of keeping him untapped for another round of blocking or swinging for 2 lands and the potential of killing some creatures (although smarter players would probably take the damage directly). If you have any alternative options for him, I'd be completely open to them, but for right now, I simply can't =/
