Deck discussion for M12 Zombies

i really like the call to the grave + mortitian beetle combo, but i'm not 100% sure about jace in here, i think i'd rather see him in a mill / more graveryard based deck.

try dropping him, moving up to 24 lands, and dropping divination for preordain. 4x preordain and 2x ponder will definitely get you the CA that you need.

also, no darkslick shores? which is the if it's your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd land, it doesn't come in tapped UB land? check that out

also, comment for comment / like for like? :)

Darkslick Chores is a bittersweet card for me... I do enjoy the ability to go with a dual land really fast, but considering a lot of this stuff is expensive later, I'd rather play it safe and keep 1 land a turn without dealing with them coming in tapped. I'll def take a look at ur deck tho :)

You have the Null Champion and mortician beetle in your deck that are cycling out as well. Are you waiting for Innistrad to find replacements?

Im not a big fan of Zombie infestation....
Id go with a buried alive / recurring nightmare combo here since u play a lot of expensive mana cost creatures, and Recurring nightmare witha grave titan is just Hardcore token spam
you wont even need to discard ur cards :)

id switch those null champions for 4x undead warchief and those 4 Mortitian beetles for Deathbarons so ur zombie token gt deathtuch and get REALY big... and for overkill ofcourse Zombiemaster/ Swampwalk kill :)

So eh, nice legacy advice but I believe this is supposed to be a standard deck. All the cards you suggested are not standard legal, recurring nightmare is banned in legacy even I believe.

I like call of the grave, but I believe you should be playing only zombies, otherwise you will have to sac your Mortician very fast to it.

Try Jace's Archivist, excellent synergy with Zombie Infestation.

yeah i'd probably drop jace for his archivist. other than that, nice deck. it looks really affordable, especially since i got 2 graves at the prerelease (one foil in prize pack, one in trade).

t@Reaper-NL: yeah, unfortunately Phipler is right, this is meant to be Standard... Appreciate the help though :)

@Phiphler: Here was my thought process on this. Because Grave Titan is a beast, i definitely wanted to include him even though he himself is not a zombie... And because I wanted to include Call to the Grave as well... I decided to throw in Xenograft and hope I could pull it with some draw. That was my thought-process, but I'm still unsure on some of the cards, including Mortician Beetle, which you mentioned. im open to your further opinion on what im trying to do lol'

@HeliosOfCows: i totally agree on Jace's Archivist. Thank you :)

i recommend adding 2 more ponders, and also dropping the jaces. other than that, its a fairly food deck =)

honestly i think this would be better mono black the blue is good for the ponder/ draw cards but xenograph is the only blue card that actually matters to your combo cause without it call to the grave would make you sac your beetle and titan also where is skinrender?!?! he is amazing also i would add like 2 mimic vat so if you have to sac a titan you can put it on that and still get its benefits also skinrender mimic vat is hilarious and even gravedigger is good on it i would keep the blue black duals so you can still use ponder/ preordain but other than that its just better mono black just add a decent discard package its up to you thats my 2 cents lol i helped 2 of my friends build t2 zombie decks just the other day check out my planeswalker mill control
