My old T2 deck when it was still legal and personally my favorite deck. Use Wild Mongrels to put Laquatus's Champions and Roar of the Wurms in the grave. Use Buried Alive to bury Laquatus's Champions from your deck. Pay flashback for Roar of the Wurms and use Balthor to resurrect all of the Champions for 18-24 Damage to player (In a nutshell). Wish I had 2 more Braids and Squirrel nests for my sideboard, but i don't :[ Comments/suggestions welcome. Just now getting back into Magic and haven't seen much of the new cards so if there are some you think that would help this deck, go ahead and comment :]

IMO, it seems like mono black, or B/R might suit your deck better. IE, pull the green, toss in four Blood Pet, four Dark Ritual, maybe Entomb... For more discard, Cunning Lethemancer lets you discard cards (and by "let", I mean "force"), as does Necrogen Mists. Another thought is that, as fun as the Mesmeric Fiends are, other creatures might help you a little more, such as Netherborn Phalanx, Highway Robbers, Soul Scourge, Nekrataal, or Shriekmaw.

Patriarch's Bidding in place of Balthor, It does cost 5 but Balthor is easily stopped before he get to blow up to bring your creatures back.
Oh yeah, if you keep green go with Maelstrom Pulse for creature control.
Hi. I just checked your deck and I might have a good suggestion. Just so it works a little better with your Squirrel nest, why don't you switch the Llanowar elves with a couple 'Arbor Elf' ? this way you get 2 tokens each turn from your 1 Forest! I also got back to Mtg recently, and it's a challenge to make do with the more recent cards... long live Vintage;) !! check out some of my decks!
