Deck Description

This deck is the tournament-legal, 60-card version of the 100-card deck of nearly the same name. This deck is essentially built around buffing once-small creatures.

The 100-card version is here: http://www.mtgvault.com/spazdiesfirst360/decks/assemble-the-legion/

How to Play

The deck is very similar to the 100-card version, with a lot of cards that had no real exact purpose removed. You can play both decks in nearly the same way, but be wary of the fact that while this version has less cards, which boosts the chances of drawing a specific card from a base of 1 in 100 to 1 in 60, this deck also has less land cards, which may mean that you have to play cards more strategically and conserve mana. This also gives Battle Hymn somewhat more of a purpose, whereas before it was there only to fuel Aurelia's Fury.

For anyone who has no idea how to play the 100-card version and does not feel like looking for it just to read how it plays, the following is copied and modified from the original deck's How to Play;

The deck is built mainly around Human Soldiers. The idea is to get out cards like Champion of the Parish and Assemble the Legion out as soon as possible for maximum effect while using cards like Benalish Commander to create token soldiers to fill up the field. Then put down Captain of the Watch to give your creatures +1/+1 and vigilance so that you can attack and not become vulnerable afterwards. Using cards such as Berserkers' Onslaught will give all your attacking creatures double strike and allow you to swing with huge amounts of damage.

The deck has some cards in the sideboard that may work well in the deck. These have not been put directly into the deck to allow players to decide what they would switch out.

The deck may not be able to defend itself against blue, so it can make a good 2v2 deck when paired with control.

Deck discussion for Assemble the Legion (60 cards)

Uhh... this deck is showing up as not legal in any format, but I cannot figure out why. All the cards that would have a chance of being restricted check out, so... what is going on? MTG Vault is not showing the pop-up window that should show why it is not legal...

My guess is that the basic lands you used, from Rivals of Ixalan, are not yet "legalized" in the database. I've allready had this some times.
