Deck Description

Pretty simple...control until you get Baneslayer or Spinx out and continue to use Jace for card draw.

*Note* I am aware that Mind Sculpter is better, but I do not have $89 to spend on one Mind Sculpter so I use old Jace instead for card draw

Please comment and critic, I'm always eager to make my decks better

Deck discussion for U/W Control - Standard

Sun Titan might be good for Jace recursion. Tectonic Edge, Spreading Seas and Leyline of Sanctity should bolster the Valakut/Eldrazi ramp plans.

Along with the comments above, 4xCelestial Collonade.

Also, instead of the Turn Aside, maybe Negate? It hits a much wider range of targets and is a bit less limited than Turn Aside. I think in any U/W control that runs day of judgment, Sun Titan serves better. Cast DoJ and then cast your Titan and start getting back dead cards or keep bringing back you Jace's after using him up. Even Tectonic Edge.

The last thing I can suggest is 1 or 2 Gideon Jura. He's just great in the kind of deck you have here.

Sun Titan would be awesome, but the only card I would be able to bring back would be Jace; the rest of my creatures are five or six mana. Sun Titan would be great against Valakut/Eldrazi since I would be able to get a Tectonic Edge out every turn...maybe put three Sun Titans in my side board and four Tectonic Edge in the main? And I did not think about Gideon, use Frost Titan to tap a target permanent and then Use Gideon to destroy it; at least I believe that is the combo you are referring to lol. As for the Celestial Colonades, I will use them once I buy some, that is why they are not in my deck lol, and the Colonades will replace the Seachrome Coasts.

Nice deck. The combo with Gideon is worth persuing, maybe run two Jace and one Gideon? I would also recommend Ponder. That may be the single best legal draw card in the game, and is definitely the best Standard one.

Ehh, sorry. Ponder isn't standard legal anymore. You could try it's younger brother Preordain though.

I did run four Preordains in the main, but it seemed like using Jace was much faster. Plus it allowed more room for counters. And I would LOVE to use Gideon but unfortunately I do not have one :/

I typically think that more counterspells work better than preordains. Jace will give you enough card advantage by himself and the sphinx will help that even more.

Gideon is just great when in conjunction with frost titan with his -2 ability, but I love to use his +2 with wall of frosts in play. Make all opponent's creatures attack you and block with wall of frost. then attack with frost titan and start tapping lands/big threats. Next turn you can destroy a tapped creature and then focus on tapping out their lands with frost titans.
