So in 2013 I bought the commander 2013 pre-cons one of which was a Jund deck, Prosh. Upon playing Prosh I was highly disappointed; not because it was a bad deck, in fact it was quite good, rather the deck played almost exactly like a deck I'd already built... Kresh. Now I'd played the hell out of Kresh, so it sat on the back burner for quite a while I fiddled around with other decks. Which is why it wasn't until this year that I finally got around to deciding that Prosh would become my 'when things die deck', and Kresh would become a new flavored Jund deck based around 'Mark of Mutiny' like effects. So I reveal new, revised Kresh... May he continue to stomp!
So the heart of the deck is Kresh, it doesn't HAVE to have him... but he's just so beautiful. He acts as a utility creature as well as stomper and you'll find that the deck really does end up being focused around the utility like cards (i.e. Coffin Queen, Kiki-Jiki, Stalking Vengeance, Skullclamp, Bazaar Trader)The deck works best with 1-2 utility like cards, and 2 sac outlets in play. The deck has 16 sac outlets and 16 'gain control' of cards of which 'Helm of Possession' is the only card that does both.Typically if you can get 2 sac outlets in play you don't want to play anymore. It's likely they'll die regularly and you always want to have 2.I've had a lot of fun with this version, it feels like plays itself, which is nice low stress. But still has a lot of nuanced plays of which Kiki-Jiki copy Bazaar trader is so far my favorite.
