Deck discussion for nicol bolas

which one carbonize(Carbonize deals 3 damage to target creature or player. If a creature was dealt damage by carbonize, that creature can't be regenerated this turn. If the creature would be put into a graveyard this turn, remove it from the game instead/ mana cost: 1 mountain 2 colorless) or Lightning bolt(Everyone knows what this)?

im having trouble understanding what your asking but there are two possibilitys
you want me to put either carbonize or lightning bolt in my deck, either would be a nice addition but currently i dont think its necessary.

or your asking me which one is better in my opinion and the answer would be lightning bolt, 1 mana, 3 damage extremely versatile.

Actually you could use lightning bolt. Could help you get through early game

I love any deck with Nicol Bolas. I would agree that lightning bolt might help survive early game. A little more of mana ramp might also help to get Bolas out faster as well. Here is my Grixis deck if you'd like to look at it.
