Deck Description

A slightly different way to run a Boros aggro deck. I just want to say: MY GOAL IS TO HAVE A DIFFERENT LAYOUT THAN THE AVERAGE AGGRO, so please don't comment saying it should look more like what everyone else has. If you do have any comments on how to better this deck in what its going for (see how to play) then I would be happy to hear it. thank you.

How to Play

Reforge the Soul and Fervor are the cards to make this deck run. Play it like a normal aggro deck, and use those two cards to recover from board wipes, or a depleted hand. I have rally the peasants because it drastically increases damage output.

Deck discussion for Slightly Different

you may want to try a vexing devil to shock the enemy first turn.

4th reckoner over odric is definitely the first thing to change.
Fervor in a deck where 50% of your creatures already have haste is redundant.
Gift of Orzhova is ok but im not a fan of it in agro.
4 searing spears will serve you far better than those 2 cards.
Rally the Peasants is unusual but I kinda like it. Gets good value with flashback too.

Sideboard should have orings and blind obediences in it, rest in peace/graffdigger's cage and pillars of flame.

Replace the Ash Zealot with Lightning Mauler, the Legion Loyalist should be swapped for Champion of the Parish, and the Reckoner for Blind Obedience. Champion will improve the board state for you a lot better than the Loyalist will, as the Loyalist works better for stronger, more tempo oriented decks in my opinion. Blind Obedience is better in most match-ups because everyone and their mother plays around the Boros Reckoner, whereas BO is a card that can net you a bit of life, slow down other aggro decks so that you can go faster than them, and to top it off it beats Swagtusk and Resto Angel. Let the trolls come in saying that you can't not play Boros Reckoner in any deck that has red or white in it, when in honesty BO pretty much gives you indirect card advantage whereas Reckoner is more of a defensive card. The Lightning Mauler should go over Ash Zealot because of how mana restrictive the former is, and he's more than just a card that deals damage MAYBE on turn two as the other sets up later plays like Odric and Frontline Medic. Maybe replace the Fervor too, because of the chance of an opponent having Blind Obedience as that makes Fervor a dead card.

reckoners are only a defensive card if you don't attack with them like an idiot...
attacking into 5/3 thragtusks is one of the most satisfying things i can think of as an agro player. (at the point of having thrags out your opponent will be on low health so you can out damage them even if they dont block and attack you with it.)

youre not wrong about blind obedience, it's an excellent card and should go in but reckoners are the absolute last thing i'd take out for them.
