Blue/White Azorius Control

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

I just decided to try White/Blue again. I don't often run control, so I'm trying to branch out. Comments would be ideal.

How to Play

It's a control deck. Just. Say. No. :P In all seriousness, make your opponent's life miserable because they can hardly do anything.

Deck discussion for Blue/White Azorius Control

Umm not sure if this is a budget deck or not but you have a lot of creatures for it to be control.

These all give an aspect of control.

The creatures do have a way of ruining your opponents tempo, which control does a lot of but most control decks hardly run any creatures. If any. I don't run any myself. Was this meant to be a budget deck?

This is something I'm running IRL, so yes. So, if you don't run creatures, how do you win? What would your win con be? Mine is Medomai.

Ahhh ok gotcha. I kinda want to make a budget control deck now cause I'm wondering how I'd make one. Kinda makes sense then. If you need something to look at for control ideas mine did fairly well at FNM.

Fair warning: It's not budget, but I traded for all the cards and/or got them in packs. Didn't have to buy any of them but that is just luck. Let me know if you need help with anything.

Anytime. Anything to help a fellow control player. Especially a new one.

I'm toying with dropping all but Arcanist and bumping him to 4. Constantly recycle something like Cancel.

It's a good combo but he's only a 1/1. He'll get burned instantly. All those creature slots you have could be replaced with spot removal cards or some form of bounce back. I'm also wondering why you don't have Azorius Charm in here.

'Cause I don't have any. IRL. Not a single one. ._. If only I had Elspeth...:'(

Hahaha, I'd need a bunch 'cause I'm gonna also end up putting together an America Aggro and/or America Control. Haven't decided which yet.

What do you think of Opportunity in this deck?

Since it's a budget deck I'd so go with it. It's not Sphinx's Revelation but it'll do.

For now, it'll do. I dun have da moneyz for moar. But should I up the counter spells or add bounce spells?

WOW... ...you use too many stuff here you shouldn't, at least not in the main deck... ...3 Nullify, 2 Negate, these are more sideboard cards... ...may be 1 Nullify in the main deck, or 2 at most, but Negate is totally sideboard material... ...drop Banisher & most of your creatures, in fact, you need to drop all creatures & add 2 AEtherling along with some Elspeth... ...you also need to run 25 land, get some duals & use 2-3 Mutavault!......

Lots of no good cards here besides the creatures & from a lot of stuff, you only run 1-2 copies wich makes the deck highly unstabil... ...this one has to be completely rebuilt... ...use Detention Sphere if you can get 'em(3-4 copies), 4 verdict & no Cleansing in the main deck, 'cuz it kills off your Spheres, but you can run 2 in the sideboard... ...you need more Jace & Revelation if you can get 'em... ...Azorius Charm!!!....

Here's my Azorius control, it might help:

I've been attempting, but my supplies are limited and my budget is rather short. I know this deck is a pain to look at, so I apologize. :P Thank you, PoetMaster-X.

It's a budget deck so you don't have a lot to work with. He's right though, you do have a lot in the main deck that doesn't help but it might be good for kitchen table play.

Umm...yea! Hell get 3 more of them. Jace, Architect of Thought is one of the best cards to have in control.

why woud you have 3 cancel and only 1 dissolve. dissolve does the same as cancel for the same price but dissolve lets you scry so i think you shoud just take 4 dossolve and 0 cancel
