Wow, Korlash beats Nightmare's ass. I'll be replacing with him right now.

I'd def cap this at 20 mana maximum with no card costing more than 2 to cast.
8 island
8 swamp
4 creepy pit (great addition to this deck, btw)

The best part is you get to add 5 cards to the deck! I'd recommend some Mana Leak to help keep your unblockables alive, and I'm sure you could come up with some other fun stuff!

In general, I consider the Underworld Dreams/Howling Mine combo to be folly. Look at it this way: if you could choose to pay 1 life to draw a card, would you? I know I would!

IMO, that combo belongs in a heavy control deck. That way on your turn you are drawing extra counterspells to prevent them from ever casting their bonus draws.

An old standard. I was happy to discover it is still fairly effective after all this time, even against newer decks.

I've been out of the game for a while. I can't wait to update this baby!

Comments:
1) Flesh Reaver! This is probably the best suicide black card ever printed. BB for a 4/4 beastie? Hell yeah!
2) Bad Moon. With 23 black creatures it will be worth it to have a few in this deck.
3) Hatred? At 5 mana it's expensive, but maybe worth a thought?

After a few years out of the game, this deck has inspired me. My first newly constructed deck shall be a discard deck.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with many of these new cards or others that have been printed in the last few years. I can't offer much useful advice to a modern player in a Type 2 format.
