Obviously there are some ways to improve this deck, but the fact that I've never lost with it DESPITE its shortcomings, I think, speaks to how decent it is. Or at least, it speaks to how retarded of a card Tinker can be. Anyway, Moxes and Black Lotus would be the obvious additions, but I didn't feel like breaking the bank to build this deck. Progenitus is a little stupid here, because he can only really be played via Fold Into Aether, and I have yet to pull that off. The Tutor is also counterproductive, because the only artifact worth tutoring out is Blightsteel, and if you do that, you can't Tinker him out. Still, if you have Fold Into Aether and the Tutor in your hand, and enough mana to use them, it might be worth it. I've never done that, though; every Blightsteel I've played with this deck has come out via Tinker. If I wanted to make this deck as good as it could be (without the Moxes and Lotus), I'd probably cut Fold Into Aether, Progenitus, and all the white spells, and just replace them all with various counterspells. Anyway, this deck has one very obvious strategy: Tinker Blightsteel out as quickly as possible, using either Memnite or your artifact lands as sacrifices. The counterspells serve to protect Blightsteel once you have him out, should your opponent have something capable of getting rid of him; and then, in case you fail to protect Blightsteel, you have three more you can Tinker out at your leisure. I've only had the Colossus successfully removed from the battlefield once thanks to his indestructibility and my cheap counterspells, but then, I wasn't playing very much and I only had a few people to play with in Iraq, so more serious play would probably strain this deck a little. And it probably wouldn't SEE serious play, due to the restricted cards. Fold Into Aether is obviously there as an attempt to get Progenitus onto the field, but as I mentioned, it hasn't worked yet, so whenever I get my cards (including this deck) from Iraq I'll make the changes mentioned above and see how well it works then.

And I really need to find a way to get Cradle of Vitality into this deck. Cradle works with any life gain, but it makes an especially nice combo with the Wall of Reverence and anything with lifelink, the effects will just compound continually, making each one stronger and stronger as time goes on, assuming the Cradle stays on the field. The Rest for the Weary might go, I'm not sure.
Oh, here's something. In retrospect, it sems to me that the Invincible Hymn might actually be detrimental to this deck. By the time I draw it and have the mana to play it, it seems likely that my life total will already have surpassed the number of cards in my deck, given all the other life gain. So the hymn might not be merely redundant, but actually harmful. In fact, I think the Hymn would be a good card to swap out for my other Mantle, since the Hymn is MORE expensive than the Mantle.
Well, Baneslayers are crazy expensive, but if I ever happened to pull one out of a booster pack, I would definitely swap out the Battlegrace, or even the Platinum. Whispersilk sounds like a pretty good idea, especially since I just got my hands on a second one. I might drop the Basilisk Collar for a Whispersilk, but I'm not sure. And I'm not sure how I missed the Wall of Reverence, that one actually looks really good. I might drop two Lightkeepers for that. I also just found the Sunspring Expedition. I'm not sure if I'm going to try using it, though. And the only real reason I only have one Mantle is that it's one expensive (mana-wise) card in a deck that is a little too heavy on the mana for comfort, and I don't want to end up with an opening hand full of cards I can't play. I do have a second Mantle, I'm just not sure if I have the mana base to support two of them in a deck that already has a sixth of its cards costing five or more mana. I'll be more sure of how it goes once I can playtest it, though.
Considering that this deck is meant to be Standard-legal, I guess that means I did a pretty good job. Thanks for the compliment. :D Now, as soon as the cards I don't already own arrive, I'll be set to try it out in a tournament. Hopefully Rise of the Eldrazi doesn't have any nasty surprises to render this deck useless before I get to play it. My only regret is that Beacon of Immortality isn't legal anymore, that would've been a great addition to this deck. T_T
