Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

How to Play

Hopefully an avacyn's pilgrim or abundant growth turn 1 then turn 2 a fencing ace and again pilgrim or abundant growth. Turn 3 ethereal, ethereal, rancor (either use pilgrims for call to serve or abundant growth or have abundant growth out) with 2x ethereal and 1x rancor on fencing that is turn 3 lethal or close. With ethereal there is a good chance your swinging from anywhere from 16 to 20+ turn 3. Turn 4-5 should be lethal.

Nope, cause Birds are not standard legal. This is a standard legal deck as it stands.

Fencing Ace + Enchantments can be very strnog and fast, but the deck runs into the same issue all Aura decks have. You play a creature, then put 2 enchantments on it, then your opponent casts 1 kill spell, basically costing you 3 cards to the grave for your 1. U/W enchantment decks work because they have creatures with hexproof that can't be touched. T o address this issue in your G/W deck, I would take out Sundering Growth and Centaur Healer (Side Board Cards) and put in 4 faith's shield. Faith's Shield works not only as a protection spell, but can alo allow your creature to swing in unblockable in many scenarios. for the other 2 slots I would put in Champion of the Parish (I would personally run 4 in this deck) it is a powerful turn 1 play, and nearly all of your creatures are humans, and will give you a good creature to enchant immediately if you don't draw Fencing Ace.

To be honest I didn't put too much effort into thinking through this deck so I skipped over some stuff. I'm glad you caught onto some of it though. Champion could be really good, faith's shield will help.

Though I am relying on a bit of luck here also, I haven't seen a lot of use of kill spells recently so I can only hope I would be so lucky still.

Otherwise I do understand the problem with "all you eggs in one basket" problem that this presents. Honestly I actually run a B/R Vampire-Zombie mix usually which has the last 3 times gotten me top 8, top 2, top 8 (would have been top 4 at least but I kept a hand I shouldn't have because opponent went for immediate play so instead of going... "dude... I never said keep, I'm going for a mulligan" I played.

Watchwolf 2 for a 3/3 would be good. also broken fall, wile leaf cavaliers. this might not be a card you want but chorus of the conclave, great for late in the game. a definate would be yavimaya enchantress, also dawnglow infusion, and maybe replace centaur healer with rhox bodygaurd. Also replace sundering growth and replace it, you dont have anything to populate.
