Deck Description

Prior to rotation I had a U/B control deck that I was working on, this is what it looks like for now until Dimir comes around and gives me some new dual lands and possibly some good creatures and spells.

There is a lot of room for tweaking and improvement, also the last three slots (as this is 57 cards as of my writing this) are open for finishers. I don't know of any great strong blue or black creatures that are playable here.

Thoughts, comments and suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated, this is something that needs the living hell tweaked out of it.

Deck discussion for Dimir Control (standard)

Rewind might be helpful, and I only see 3x 1/3 and 4x 2/1 as a path to victory so evil twin and vampire nighthawk can help throw around some damage. Desecration demon either kills their board or kills them.
Otherwise a really cool looking deck

Excuse me, also nelphia drownland can kill. But lots of people sideboard a couple ghost quarters, in which with all your drawing, you can't expect them to draw to death first, also if you could fit in blood crypt and steam vents guttersnipe is deadly

Personally I love Stormtide Leviathan as a blue finisher. He's basically my favorite Blue creature ever. Also, Talrand Sky Summoner seems like it should work well here.

Delver is always good with instants and sorceries, although both talrand and delver are weak to pillar of flame, sphinx of uthun might be good

Wow, in my temporary absence I actually received a handful of comments which I appreciate.

I have a few ghost quarters around so I'll put them into a sideboard when I get around to making one, also rewind might find a slot, though not 100% sure about it, I tried it once before and it only mana drained me pretty bad cause my rewind was negated. We will see though.

I had left three slots open for finishers, and I've thought about using Vampire Nighthawk however I feel like with a good U/B control deck like this you need more in the line of HUGE mana hungry finishers like Grave Titan. Sphinx of Uthun fits this decently, Stormtide works also, Talrand is cool but I'm worried about how easy he is to remove, same with nighthawk now that I'm thinking about it, Abrupt kills it, searing spear (one of the most popular burn cards right now).

I think primarily though this is going to be a deck that will be finished come the next set from Ravnica, with I believe the dimir house's release. There should be some good U/B cards that will fit here, or even just mono blue or black.

I was saying it used to be that lots of people ran kessig wolf run, so that's why people still might run ghost quarters, not that you needed to
