Deck Description

When at full strength can destroy twice as many permanents as you have Artifacts. A bit of fun...

Spine of Ish was always a 'cool' card, however it never really made it that good. This is my attempt at making a deck around the card. This is not a Tournament Quality Deck and i will try it out at my next mates Magic Night

If you have pointers on making this better please comment (especially help to improve the speed).

How it works.

* Use MASTER TRANSMUTER to swap MEMNITE for SPINE OF ISH and recast MEMNITE [Cost: -1 Blue]
* Use KRARL-CLAN IRONE WORKS to sacrifice SPINE OF ISH [Cost: +2 Colourless Mana]
* Use VOLTAIC CONSTRUCT to untap MASTER TRANSMUTER [Cost: -2 Colourless Mana]
* Repeat.

Obviously this means that you can destroy a target permanent for every 1 Blue Mana and that is where Tolarian Academy comes in.

Now for every Artifact you control you can destroy a target permanent. Maybe trow in a DOUBLING CUBE?

I actually like the idea of this deck so much that I mite try make a similar one that's standard :p

I like the idea of using Spine of Ish Sah, I've been trying to make a deck out of too. To make it faster I would substitute Voltaic Construct for Voltaic key and try to fit in some Ornithopters to use in the combo with Master Transmuter.

Also Boomerang or Into the roil (or cards of that type) might work here, to bring Spine of Ish Sah back to your hand. I would substitute 2 Fabricates for it. Might even come in handy for spor removal and then a counter.

I guess you wanna mana-ramp as fast as you can into a the Spine of Ish Sah? But maybe there is too much mana in your deck?

Voltaic Key is one of my favorite cards and generally gets considered in all my decks but does not get in here because it is required to tap, therefore only has one use per turn,where this combo as it stands is limited by mana.

I do like the Boomerang idea and yeah i have no idea about the mana in this deck, looking at it, its probably excessive. Although once the Academy is out, all those Mana Artifacts then double as destroying a permanent each time you tap the academy.
