The focus of this deck revolves around making Protean Hydra invincible. Wilt-Leaf Liege or Spider Umbra will allow the Hydra to survive with any damage dealing attacks. Pariah will redirect all attacks dealt to you back at your Hydra giving him more counters and keep you safe. Canopy Cover will give him shroud from opponents while Greater Auramancy will give all your enchantments and him shroud. So if you can get Spider Umbra and Pariah on him, then lay down 2 Greater Auramancy, it's almost certainly GG (in a perfect world that is). Totem-Guide, Ranger of Eos, and Idyllic Tutor are in here to grab the cards you need. Tips and Suggestion are appreciated!

I liked it, man. When I got one Proten Hydra I saw it had potencial, but had lot of weaknesses. You deck seems to cover it all, but I'd put some Overwhelming Stampede or Predator's Strike, so the Hydra will get trample.
I agree that Protean Hydra should have trample. I was thinking of using Rancor, just need to decide which card to take out in place of it.
Gilder Bairn to boosts the amount of counters on the hydra :)
Thanks for the tip! Putting a couple on the sideboard for now while I decide what cards should be replaced with them.
this deck has potential, however there are still 2 main problems with this deck still. Thie first one is that you dont have any mana accelaration. either put in land search cards or mana acceleration creatures. You'll also need to get some cards to deal with massive spawn decks. Silent arbiter is one of the best, despite being a creatue, if not, crawlspace will be fine too. other than that this deck seems pretty good. if you want, you can check my hydra deck, one on one with a hydra, to help you out with your deck too.
I had Cultivate in my original idea but go rid of it because I could play everything with only 4 land (excluding Totem-Guide). As for massive spawn decks, thats where Pariah and Spider Umbra/Wilt-Leaf come into play. They can hit me for infinite tokens and all that damage goes to the Hydra and gets prevented and doubles the counters on him.
