This is my current deck for Standard. I played U/R Control before rotation and really wanted to continue playing control. However a few things have changed in the format. The biggest is the realization that the Scarab God is just so good in almost every matchup in the meta. Because of this I decided to add in Black to the deck which gave us access to of course Fatal Push but with Ixalan we got Vraska's Contempt which fairs nicely in a lot of matchups. All in all I have gone through a couple iterations of this deck trying to balance speed and power and will probably continue to make more changes as time goes on.If you are looking for a powerful deck that has lots of good matchups in the current meta and is highly adaptable to what you are seeing at your LGS. I feel that if you are wanting to be consistent at FNM and Standard Showdown that this deck or some iteration of Grixis Control will bring you the best chances.

I feel like Bolas is almost too slow even for control.
Bolas is too slow. Energy decks hit hard, Red hits the ground (and your face) running, and (most) control players should know better than to let Bolas resolve. But if this is the list you're sticking with for FNM or Showdowns, I would recommend adding the U/B and B/R dual lands from Amonkhet and Ixalan. If you're going to be adding Scarab Gods to a UR Control list then you might as well pick up the dual landsto improve the mana base too.
Bolas is too slow.
