Deck Description

17 Rats
22 swamps
+ despise (for titans, gideon, and shit)
+ duress (for Day of Judgement)
+ sign in blood for draw. :)
+ lots and LOTS of removal

I basically don't cast a single rat until like turn 4 or so, then win by turn 10 or 11. xD haha, jace is a bit hard to beat, and day of judgement is well, you know... it's day of judgement. :/ but besides that, the deck does fairly well.
In a non-NPH version from before, I was 6-4-1 at the local FNM (over 70 people) but mostly b/c no one played memoricide. ;) hehe

Then again, this deck will suck complete fucking balls until people realize that surgical extraction really isn't that great of a card. :/ lame.

sugessions?

for SB i'm thinking marrow shards, tumble magnent, 2 ea. doom blade, go for, geth's. then run, idk... 1 extra despise and duress MB? (duress esp, b/c of extraction and what not) Also, I was thinking, how do you guys feel about mental misstep? :o

Deck discussion for The Greater Good

one word... "Haunting echoes" it will destroy this deck

I would add Mental Misstep on the sideboard for sure. Will help against pesky Surgical Extractions, Kuldotha Rebirth, other pesky one/zero drops that escape your Duress.

yeah sure, so in case of either, I run "suffer the past" (instant speed to their sorcery haunting echos) and mental misstep (for their extraction)

My biggest problem I would say is the discard from putting a feast and famine on a squad hawk.

on the other hand, that's why i'd have inquisition and despise SB.

Have a gander at my rats deck dude... all you need is Thrumming Stone, and it's game won

I think he's aiming for a Standard build though, which Thrumming Stone is not.

Please tell me you run this in a standard tournament. I would give you 42039 high fives. Plus a like. Not very creative though haha.

I actually ran it before NPH came out and did shockingly well. I mean like. positive win ratio...... I beat cawblade.

first turn despise and surgical extract means game over now before nph came out it was inquisition then after 5 turns haunting echoes so you had little to worry about since during that tume you would have had a good enough field to kill
