Meh. Even still, the damage potential is huge, and Archaeomancer can recycle stuff as I need.

Interesting setup. No archaeomancer though? You Should check out my Izzet deck, and tell me what you think. I think Izzet may be the new Control archetype since it thrives on counter burning your opponent.
And if you're planning on keeping your Yard full to pump Jarad, then throw in Mortivore and Rancor.
You could always throw in a few Daggerdrome Imp and scavenge up a Dreg Mangler on it. Suddenly a cheap 1/1 Flier is either a 4/4 or 7/7 depending on if you have a CJM on play, and even a 4/4 Flier with Life link is a scary prospect.
And my point in running Mulch was to not only fuel your Scavenge Fodder but to also put land on your hand SL you avoid Mana Drought since you run about 4 shy under the standard Land ratio and have 24 creatures with an average CMC of between 3-5.
Touché, but that being said Varolz is pretty much there to make sure you can scavenge anything so by running 2 of him, you are really just wasting space if you choose not to abuse the Scavenge mechanic. Anyway, Elixir of Immortality is cheap and can mitigate the self-milling issue if that becomes a worry.
But that's the beauty of Jarad. If you self mill he buffs, but if you Scavenge, Jarad can still sac to Burn an opponent. You could potentially have Jarad in play with a CJ Menace and a Dreg Mangler in your Graveyard. Bring out another Mangler and Scavenge your GY for 6 +1/+1 tokens on Dreg Mangler, who is now a 9/9 with haste. Swing away, then in your Main 2 sac Dreg Mangler to deal another 9 to your opponent then you can Scavenge that Mangler on CJ and Sac it next turn for the win. Unless they Exile Jarad you can just dump a Swamp and Forest and their dead meat.
I still say you need a few Crypt Incursion. One of the best cards Black has ever had for establishing control mid-late game, and the Yard Hate + Life Gain is never bad, especially when you're forcing your opponent to chuck creatures to preserve their valuable Sorceries that they think are gonna clear your board. I mean even 2 would be a buffer just on case they manage to pull something out. In a Scavenge deck, they could easily turn this on you if you let them build up a slew if stuff in their Graveyard that they can Scavenge or Flashback later. At least this would stop Jarad and Mortivore from coming out and having their pick of Yard fodder to work with.
You don't find this runs a little dry on Mana? I would add in Rot Farm Skeleton and Mulch if you really want to abuse Scavenge and Varolz.
Armada Wurm is actually pretty cheap when you consider a 5/5 Trampler, PLUS a 5/5 Trampler Token you can then Populate repeatedly. Add in Trostani, Selesnya's voice and you have a Machine that nets you +5 Life every turn, AND a 5/5 Trampling Wurm token. Now just throw in Crusader of Odric and your Chorus of Might is looking Scary. Check out my Selesnya Deck if you want any ideas. Its easily my most OP deck when it comes to casual play.
Knew I was forgetting something.
And if you wanted to splash in some Green, Mulch could be a good candidate and there are a few other Green cards that feed Scavenge decks that could be used to self mill in this case too.
Curse of the Bloody Tome tar getting yourself could be useful. That and definitely pack Chill of Foreboding. The Expensive Flashback Cost giant even a big deal since this deck isn't SH and can afford to let it sit in your Graveyard for 4 turns if need be...
Judge's Familiar isn't really helping you here. I would suggest replacing it with a few Archaeomancer, and suddenly your Cancel are going further. Also Spell Rupture will make Lyev Skyknight's cheap casting cost and 3/1 spread irritating. And deputy if Acquittals can Recycle your Archaeomancer to keep Cancel or Vapor Snag at the ready to keep pissing your opponent off at the most opportune times.
May I suggest Banisher Priest and Gridlock? They help with Detain and can open up the ground of you need. And Sudden Disappearance is killer too.
Guttersnipe, Rakdos Shred-Freak, Spike Jester, and maybe Hound of Grislebrand would be good fits and Haste is good in general. For cheap creatures, Mogg Flunkies is always an option, and to help against control decks, Rakdos Charm, Skull Rend, Mind Rot, and Rakdos's Return can always help with Card Advantage and forcing discards can make yard Hate with Crypt Incursion and Rakdos Charm pretty scary. You could also throwin a Pulse Tracker to combo with your Hellriders....
Rakdos's Return could be a viable option, X mana = X Burn and Discard X cards.... not really a choice for them, but it hits 2 niches at once.
