i played against an insane version of this deck the other day at a tournament, he used wooly thoctar, ajani vengeant, and stoneforge mystic instead of your nacatyl pridemage and garruk, oh and instead of scute mob he used birds of paradise (as for the mystic, he ran basilisk collar too, it really was the tunring point in our game wen he got it on a thoctar with me fresh outa removal =/ )

Ding! Borderlands reference ftw =]
drop drana for kalastria
drop the butchers for hexmages, the doomblades go to side so u main disfigure
kalastria is a good idea but sorin costs a little much for the deck
i agree run cumbling necropolis and drop all the pointless planeswalkers and add in the real deal, mind sculptor! haha but if you dont have those just drop bolas and the nalaars to get terminate/another beleren
i love to see these kinds of decks, a new magic players first attempt at a deck is always the best time to get the basics of a good deck understood first off, if at all possible try to find playsets (sets of 4) of your favorite cards with which to build your deck around. The less different cards a deck has the more consistent the deck will play, this while make it more likely that you will draw the cards that you need most. Second make sure you obey the rules of a good mana curve. This simply means that one should have an ample number of cards at each of the respective costs respectable to the deck. For example a 20 land deck should probably rely on lower cost cards as 20 is generally the minimum number of lands one wants in a deck. However if you wish to utilize cards like serra angel above one should try to put more lands into their deck to make sure that you are able to pay the mana cost of the card. Lastly one should try to stick to the minimum number of cards possible, 60 in a pre constructed environment. In the deck above you really have two choices, either to go the angelic control route, serra angel journey to nowhere and the such, or to go the route of the soldier, elite vangaurd armorsmith etc either way i would advise you to drop stormfront pegasus, totem guide, ulamogs crusher, griffin sentinel, and ionas judgement regardless of which route you choose simply dropping these cards will bring down the mana curve of the deck and make it more consistent bringing it down to 61 cards, by playing the game you will eventually choose the route you want to go with this but for now i think that these slight tweaks will vastly improve your deck and remember just because a card is strong or has a good effect doesnt necessarily make it a good card, cards must be strong or have a good enough effect for the cost, for example ulamogs crusher is good but waiting a minimum of 8 turns to play him is a major downside that one cant overlook
i say drop the shivans and ascensions and slap in 4 stagger shocks to turn up the early heat even more
oh and, consume spirit < tendrills of corruption
kalitas doesnt really have a place in this deck, a good vampire build doesnt ever get to seven mana down, they win earlier then that, drop him to get down closer to 60
high costs, id drop progentius and a fusion or two for stuff like noble hierarche or however u spell it
wow, super in depth and provides great insight to a good sideboard, ty =]]]]]]] definantly gonna swap according to this
ty i like the pennon blade, but the reason i like him is putting it on kitesail soo... gonna post the edit though
i agree 22 may be alot for this deck but 22 is actually pretty low in the grand scheme of things and theres nothing i hate more then losing thx to bein mana screwed braves are staying in, used to total block or swing and be untouchable, thats just too useful and wut kor should be in place of the firewalkers though?
everyones tellin me i need different equipment, but wut equipment, plz leave suggestions
suggestions plz?
drop pacifism for journey to nowhere as they effectively are the same card just with journey u get to remove from play not just nutralize attackers/blockers (pacifism doesnt stop bomb effects while journey removes) besides that, i like it, nice idea
woaa lots of planeswalkers, maybe consider dropping the total # of pw's u may wanna drop the number of sarkhans b/c the pw rule states you cant have two pw's with the same type on the field (legend rule of pw's kinda) and nalaar isnt the greatest, i think youd get better use out of some mana acceleration in that spot to hit ur other guys earlier
i cant take out my win condition??? if anything ill drop a pledge and a captain for 2 paths but i cant drop the coats, wen they hit they win games, ive 6th turn shot for 125 damage with all 1/1's because of it, its not even fair i have to keep it
this deck is really strong, love the edit but just for future reference you can actually edit decks already posted, just to the page scroll down and click edit deck, hope this will save you time in the future =]
