Added the blazes. As to the upwelling, I'd say the rewards warrant the risk. It's also pretty safe so long as you have a fireball handy.

There's no good reason to have any doors of destinies in here. The effect of the rats is the same, and you get the creature as well. Also, and echoing truth would make you cry.
Is there no option to select higher numbers for your relentless rats?
That's brutal. Counterbore and mirrorweave (Shadowmoor) might also be of interest to you.
Oh, and a very solid deck. If you're playing with friends, I'd toss in Szadek; just for laughs if you can get him out.

There's also furnace of rath, which is cheaper, and will double the damage done with fling as well. There's a downside of it benefiting your opponent though. You might also take a look at panoptic mirror instead of isochron scepter.
It might seem a bit out of place, but you could add some dark depths in there as a mana sink. There's not all that much there to vent your mana on. You could also throw Tim in there to build a machine gun with freed from the real. (err, prodigal sorcerer)
