Nice deck. The GG in Terravore's casting cost will require you to hold off playing L'Edge until you've got the RR to play that, so I'd suggest cutting down on the green if you really want to slam them early with Land's Edge, which can and does win the game for you if you are Tax'ing early and frequently. If you want to get the most out of that Land Tax you could try adding one more so you have four, and then cutting out the Wastelands and maybe putting in a Zuran Orb or two to ensure you get to use it each turn.Obviously, you want to have less land than your opponent. Therefore, one of the best first-turn plays with Land Tax is Lotus Petal/Mox Diamond, Land Tax, go.Undiscovered Paradise and then Land Tax is also an excellent first-turn play, as your opponent will either grudgingly play a land and grant you +3 cards, or put their entire game plan on hold by refusing to play a land at all.

Very nice, it's about time someone revived the old Tax/Edge deck and tweaked it a bit. I'm working on my own version of this and I thought of using Sol Ring, though I'd probably put Winter Orb in rather than Howling Mine in order to slow things down rather than speed them up. I like how you've got the Fallen Empires sac-lands, I didn't think of that.In a deck like this, it's important to stall for time and fend off your opponent's aggression until you get the Tax/Edge combo up and running, which is where your sorceries will come in handy... the card Humility from Tempest will combo well with Pyroclasm.I've got 4x Savannah Lions in mine, which could be replaced with Clergy of the Holy Nimbus (1/1 creature for W that regenerates unless your opponent pays 1 colorless mana)... this creature would also combo well with Pyroclasm when your opponent's tapped out. It also has the upside of being just irritating enough to make them want to play another land or two, which is what you need so your Land Tax will pay out.Obviously, Land Tax must be played as soon as possible and there's a few ways to pull it out of the deck quicker. Enlightened Tutor isn't necessarily the best choice... you could splash blue for Intuition or maybe even black for Demonic Tutor. For anyone considering adding blue for Force of Will, it isn't actually that helpful and there are better ways to guard your combo. Vigilant Martyr from Mirage is creature for W that counters a spell that targets your enchantments. Argivian Find pulls a dead enchantment or artifact out of your graveyard, again for one white mana. I'm sure there are others...Life gain works well to a) stall your opponent until you get the combo down b) give you a higher life total so that your own L'Edge can't be used against you as effectively.1x Zuran Orb comes in handy and of course Ivory Tower too.Check out the following links:http://oldschool-mtg.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/some-notes-on-tax-edge.htmlhttps://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/rec.games.trading-cards.magic.strategy/XWRX_cJ8ffg/R5uQbaqSLRMJhttps://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/rec.games.trading-cards.magic.strategy/XWRX_cJ8ffg/slA3Mm6BfvgJAnother version of the original old-school Tax/Edge (from http://www.magiclibrarities.net/404-rarities-inquest-magic-related-cards-english-cards-inquest-killer-decks-cards.html) contains these cards:ENCHANTMENTS4 Land Tax4 Land's Edge2 COP: RedsCREATURES4 Serra AngelsMANA5 Mountains1 Mox Pearl1 Mox Ruby12 Plains4 PlateausDESTRUCTION2 Armageddon1 Balance3 Disenchants4 Lightning Bolts4 Swords to Plowshares2 Wraths of GodOTHER STUFF1 Ivory Tower2 Libraries of Leng2 Reverse Damage1 Skull of Orm1 Wheel of Fortune
