Deck Description

The inspiriation for this deck was to try to create a b/g zombie deck, working in bloodbond march. As it is, there are several one-ofs in the main lineup but that is to see how the interactions go.

This deck works by digging 6 feet down into a graveyard, finding the sleepless dead and pulling their lurching forms out into the crisp nighttime air. Necromancer's Stockpile and Lotleth put zombies there.

How to Play

Hold your Slitherheads and Gravecrawlers until turn 2 (or so). Bring out Lotleth. discard all critters. Lotleth gets puffybig. Attack.

Alternatively.... Turn two bring out necromancer's stockpile. Turn three: Discard Gravecrawler et al to draw cards and make tokens.

Discarding Slitherhead to Necromancer's Stockpile is ok, but don't use Slitherhead's scavenge ability until you have a Lotleth out. Better yet, bring Slitherhead back to hand with Ghoulcaller's chant or Ghoulraiser.

Speaking of which, Nameless inversion qualifies to be returned to hand by either of those cards.

Skinrender has a fantastic enter the battlefield effect! Nothing lets the air out of Mahamoti better than dumping 3 -1/-1 counters on him. With Bloodbond March you can cast one and any others in the graveyard pile on. That could mean up to 12 -1/-1 counters spread around!

Everything else is just gravy. Grave Gravy. Endless ranks of the dead probably deserves a second copy. So does Necromancer's Stockpile and Bloodbond March. The problem is that both of those are dead cards in hand once the first is on the board.
See what I did there? Dead cards. Zombies. Dead.

Vines of Vastwood is to prevent Lotleth from getting targeted. There is also something to be said for kicking it and having a surprise 4 extra damage from a critter the opponent ignored.

Anyhoo, have fun!

Shinza
