Devotion is my inspiration. Since Hybrid cards are both mana symbols, why not have devotion to 2 colors at full mono-color deck strength? Black has the amazing devotion card Gray Merchant and blue has the Master of Waves. Both winners and both at full strength. This deck lacks one-drops, though Oona's Gatewarden is a good one, especially since the Glen Elandra's Leige boosts it quickly.I had not previously made a deck with Nightveil Spectre so I decided to give it a shot.
Get the Hybrids out!Turn 1: If you open with Secluded Glen in hand, play it first before playing Oona's Gatewarden. Turn 2: Tidehollow Strix (if Oona got eaten or burned or will soon be overwhelmed). Otherwise Inkfathom Infiltrator. The key here is building up devotion, so its ok to take a few damage. If facing the choice of losing Oona or Tidehollow, lose Tidehollow. Oona's wither ability will only get better later when she's buffed. Having said that, it is still preferable to keep both.Turn 3: Nightveil Spectre before Wasp LancerTurn 4: Master of Waves is very tempting and may be the best option, though Glen Elandra's Liege makes a strong case. She boosts all your creatures by +2/+2 (except herself, Master of Waves, and Gray Merchant). She also adds 3 more devotion to the mix. Nevertheless, I'd probably still bring Master of Waves, especially if the blue devotion is 5 or greater.Turn 5: Save the Merchant, ride the Liege. This is a good moment for her to come out.Its a good turn for casting little guys too. Its all about building devotion for the Gray Merchant's triumphant entrance. If cards in hand are dwindling, slap a mask on an infiltrator or better yet, Nightveil Spectre to draw/steal cards. It also might be a good idea to start keeping a couple mana open for Thassa's Bluff (counterspell).Speaking of mana, if Nightveil looks good for getting through the defense, hold off on playing a land, just in case you steal one. This deck seems like a strong concept, though some tinkering might be in order. I welcome any constructive thoughts, within the parameters of the Modern format.Excelsior!

why not oona herself? she is hybrid and i think 2 of her in main and moving the vanishment to the side could work...Or is she too expensive?

Exactly that. I considered Oona, but there are 3 colorless mana in her cost and her token creation is awesome, but somewhat covered with Master of Waves. You think I should sideboard Vanishment?I have it in there to combo with Nightveil Spectre (put the card on top of library so Nightveil Spectre can pluck it off.)I am considering Hinder for the same reason. Thanks for the feedback.
