Deck Description

Inspired by magicmaster13.
So, via NorthernWarlord and magicmaster13, i have become aware of this challenge. The requirements of it are:
-Modern deck
-Only one color
-Budget as close as possible to 6 dollars

How to Play

This deck is a killer.
There are 8 one-drop critters with deathtouch. Equipped with Viridian Longbow, those little buggers will reach out and deathtouch most creatures. To the invulnerables and regenerators, this deck gives the Tragic Slip and Grasp of Darkness.

For direct damage, the Gray Merchant and Wicked Akuba deliver the pain. Viridian Longbow is useful again to help Wicked Akuba damage an opponent and get its ability started.

Tendrils of Corruption and Gray Merchant help restore life. Paragons buff everyone and give Black Knights deathtouch (which works splendidly with first strike).

The Infiltrator Lens fits well on Wicked Akuba, since to not block it can be... painful.

Excelsior!

Deck discussion for Budget $6: Death is a Salesman

Maybe greatest deck title of all time!
I am being dead serious!
...wait..."dead" and "death of a salesman" see what I did there?!

You, my friend, are a clever person! Play on words with Gray Merchant and Author Miller's book!

I did not know about Wicked Akuba! What an interesting card. So many different things you could do with it.
And before seeing the price, I would of lost money on the bet that Infiltration Lens was much more expensive!

Thanks!
Hahaha! You too are clever! "dead serious"...ha!
Infiltration is perhaps my favorite cheap card draw in Modern that no one seems to use!
As a prize for your high praise, +1 Rep.
And my gratitude.
Dead on, my friend.

Thought of a lure type deck with it, yet?
Taunting Elf, Tangle Angler, Priced Unicorn.
Could be interesting.

You know what? That's a great idea!
Hmm.. Budget $15-20... green...
Wheels turning....
Challenge accepted!

Finishing up a Spirit deck now, which is turning out to be horribly Not Budget.
Land getting pricey with 3 colors.
I may post it soon and let the community-at-large help me round it out.

Then I will further the Lure Lore

Nantuko Shade and Wicked Akuba could be friends.
Doesn't fit this deck, them two together...but they could work out.
Might see what I can come up with.

Go Orioles! :)

Nantuko Shade and Wicked Akuba are very similar. Wicked Akuba is great for sneaky maneuvers, but overall I think Nantucko Shade is more dangerous as a beater.

I'd like to see what you work out!
Maybe a Crypt of Agadeem for fuel? or Altar of shadows?

Well, we both have our work cut out for us.... as do the Orioles...

IN THE MUTHA LOVIN PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!

Rough draft. It seems like it is two different decks. Need to probably take out the shade/akuba and put them in more of an aggro deck...and add in some protection from black stuff to replace it.

Reworked it. Mind giving it a second look?
I think it is much better.

My rough draft with Shade/Akuba.
Mind giving it a look over?

I like this $6 challenge because a lot of interesting decks have come out of it. Like this one: deathtouch is such a great ability!

Thank you for the feedback!
For $6, this deck seems competitive to me. Deathtouch rules! That and Wither are fantastic!
Thanks again Anubis!
